My Self-Summary
i'll start out with the usual.
i like movies, good tv shows (or extraordinarily bad ones that offer themselves up to be mocked), reading, writing, etc. Basically, i like good stories, no matter how they're told. I graduated from UT-Austin a few years ago, with an English degree, so while my grammar may occasionally suffer and you'll find few capital letters in my casual scribblings and even a couple words that may not actually be words, my love for all narrative styles and forms is pretty immense.
i like pretty much all types of music, but i'd have to say my favorite is neo-folk stuff. josh ritter, select bright eyes tunes, damien jurado, iron and wine, and i'm just now starting to really like a local guy named doug burr.
I work in arlington, and live in dallas. my job is alright. i also have a second job in north dallas, so i pretty much spend a great deal of my free time driving in a large triangle all over the metroplex. and consequently, my weekdays are pretty busy and at the end of them i'm pretty tired.
i'm kind of a homebody, but i do like to go out. obviously, i like going to movies. i'm not much for the club scene, and though i'm told a man who can dance (or isn't afraid to dance) is a turn on, i'm just not a dancer. so when i do go out, i'm much more likely to enjoy a quieter, more laid-back scene.
A friend recently told me i was annoying the crap out of her, because anytime she told me anything my reaction was always the same. my point here is that i'm fairly unflappable. i'm also fairly sarcastic. actually, it's not even 'fairly' it's more like 'very much so'. i'm very much sarcastic.
so that's me. in my entirety.
