My self-summary
I care a lot about the integrity of the natural world and the self-determination of human and non-human animals, and i don't believe in God.
I try to take up as little space as possible, but I keep running out of room for all my yarn, books, and records. I don't like loud noises unless they are for a good reason, like punk rock, or alerting someone to danger. I have a bicycle named Rocinante, and yes, I will continue to spend my life tilting at windmills.
I have practically no gravitas at all, but I take other people very seriously. I have about a million and a half nicknames and they are all sweet.
It is important to me to use the word GARDEN as a verb.
I like science fiction and actual apocalypse preparation. I am a serious badass at being a girl, which by my definition includes vegan gluten-free baking, wearing aprons, sewing, stockings, making jam, corsetry, and being a radical feminist. I have vivid and entertaining dreams. I often wake up laughing.
Oh. I should probably mention that i am like, the happiest person on the planet. Seriously. I don't mean manic, I mean deeply happy.
I care much less about your genital sex or your gender identity than I care about your ideas about gender, and your ongoing capacity to criticize (or at least be slightly sheepish about) patriarchy and cis-supremacy.
What I’m doing with my life
Killing my idols. Getting geeky tattoos, raising hell on a sliding scale. Knitting. Having more than one other-than-monogamous relationship with someones about whom i care deeply. Trying to love and be loved without competition or need.
I’m really good at
knitting, reading aloud, thinking about things, picking out presents, making pie, writing letters on paper. also, making up roller derby/band/startup names.
The first things people usually notice about me
Brilliant, shining, nasty.
I use the right word.
I look like I might be able to grant wishes.*

*I can't.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Steinbeck. Whitman. Rockwell Kent. Frans Masereel. George Grosz. Don Marquis. Angela Carter. Bertolt Brecht. David Mitchell. Michel Houellebecq.
Bladerunner. The Lives of Others. 12 (which is this amazing and long and kind of terrifying Russian remake of 12 Angry Men). Stranger Than Fiction. Repo Man.
I can't believe it, but it turns out that Netflix and my girlfriend were right. In spite of all I hold dear, I just love the new Dr. Who.
Pre-war Delta Blues. Keith jarrett. Tom Waits. X. Motown and Philly Soul. Beatles over Stones. Prince over Michael. Weill over Bowie but not by much.
Squashblossoms.
I also like baby sloths and little birds. Not to eat. I just think they're nice.
The six things I could never do without
vegan food. (like, literally, none of us is going to be able to do without vegan food pretty soon.) coffee. novels. my hearing. yarn. doe-eyed idealism. I am also a big fan of the Moon. All of which can be summed up as follows:

The six things I could absolutely do without?
Ayn Rand. Child soldiers. Monsanto. Bigotry. Violence. Insincerity. Wait, now I'm just getting redundant.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Clever knuckle tattoos.* The limits of control. The beautiful ideal. The fact that I find good politics psychotically hot. How those fuckers over at the FBI better be keeping my file in a Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper. Girls. small dominant people. entropy. climate collapse. economic collapse: how can it happen without killing poor people? plan for the apocalypse: guns or no guns? educational policy. Prison abolition. The bodies of people I love, natural fibers, uranium mining, reproductive justice, war, the media, pretty shoes... and all the reciprocal impacts therein.

* aesthete. liberate. hegemony (meet my friends coerce and consent).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
According to the MMPI I am the sanest person you will ever meet. According to most of the world I am a fringe radical.
According to me there is a correlation.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi girls
  • Ages 30–45
  • Near me
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
you are, as my friend Wade says, a freaky, sexy dork. you're down to have a sincere, honest, loving, non-monogamous relationship. it makes you happy, as opposed to intimidated or nervous, when somebody is sweet to you; if you can keep up and teach me stuff without being all arrogant about it; if you can be full of righteous indignation without being bitter about your own life; and if you can deal with the fact that i have to pack an inordinate amount of activity into each day, because that is, apparently, how I roll.
I'll entertain all kinds of messages; I'll only respond favorably to those that are exceptional.
