I've lived all over the country: California (12 years), Washington (5 years), Texas (5 years), and Missouri (4 years). I have no roots. I’m a houseplant, capable of being shifted from location to location. Part of my goal is growing strong enough to perpetual transplant to the outdoors. I think I'd like to end up in San Francisco, programming in Silicon Valley, with a boat in the marina, or perhaps living on said boat, in the marina.

My username comes from one of my favorite samurai movies: "Man is born crying. When he has cried enough, he dies."
-The character Kyoami from Ran.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm going to school for Computer Science so that I might someday create the world's first AI, and bring on the technological singularity. I am currently a Junior at Missouri State University and work on campus as a web programmer.

I am always trying to improve my programming/coding skills and am currently fluent in Java, Python, Javascript, C#, HTML5, ASP.NET, and have gaps of knowledge for a handful of others. Portions of my work is visible on nearly every page on the Missouri State University website.

Aside from code, specifically, I try to be a Renaissance man, and love exploring new branches of knowledge, or expanding my current skills in various fields.
I’m really good at
Fixing computers, breaking computers.
The first things people usually notice about me
If I'm wearing shorts, I'll get comments on my calves. I've been riding bicycles since the age of three and have the muscles to show for it.
Another often noticed is how much time I spend in front of a computer (6-14 hours a day).

I also get a little worked up when people do something illegal or wrong and get away with it. I have been told on more than one occasion that I should be a cop.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: LoTR, Code Complete, Chronicles of Narnia, Tolstoy's Short Stories, Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, 1984, and Brave New World.

Movies: Blade Runner, Ran, Princess Mononoke, and a whole bunch of others.

TV Shows: Battlestar Galactica (haven't seen Caprica yet), Star Trek (all), Stargate SG1, House, Bleach, Top Gear, Trailer Park Boys.

Food: Mostly Italian. I'll eat pretty much anything. I love the way meat tastes, and the nutritional benefits are hard to beat, but I'll avoid eating it, given the option.
The six things I could never do without
In a whimsical sense:
1. internet (with computer, of course)
2. either glasses or contacts (+supplies)
3. coffee/tea/Rockstars
4. the occasional peace and quiet
5. friends/family
6. running shoes

In a practical sense:
1. air
2. water
3. either glasses or contacts (+supplies)
4. gravity
5. a blade or tool for defense and crafting other essentials
6. raw materials like wood, food to hunt or gather
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The computer programs I'm currently working on, both as school assignments, side projects, and the ones I always have going on at work. I live and breathe code. If you were to cut me, I'd probably bleed out binary numbers.

Life, goals, and how to achieve them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably at Starbucks or the Mud House. I don't go to the bars any more, I prefer my drinks at home. That way, I don't have to worry about securing a safe way home, and I can just relax in front of a movie and be done with it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
It wouldn't be private, then, would it? ;)

Here's something:
I don't like Missouri; I'm here for the cheap schools and living. I plan on moving to either California or Texas in 1-1.5 years (once I get my bachelor's degree) to pursue taking over the world.
