I'm from Maine and I love this place! I feel uprooted when I'm not near nature and the ocean. I think cheese is really important to making the world go round. Art is also really important to me in many forms-writing, painting, theatre, music, drawing-they are all so amazing.

I am starting up a classical community theatre company in coastal Maine. When I get a break from work and rehearsals, I try to explore new places, draw, play guitar a little and relax with some good poems. I love hiking and am always up for a good run! I also enjoy drag.

Cooking, playing Scrabble, being a pal, making bagels, quoting Shakespeare, giving (and receiving) back rubs, saying the things (for better or for worse) that everyone in the room is thinking but doesn't say, eating ice cream, looking at the ocean and the sky, drawing pictures...I love making plays happen.

I love classics! My bookshelves are filled with Shakespeare, Dostoyevsky, Steinbeck, Edith Wharton, Hafiz, Neruda, Victor Hugo. Currently obsessed with Wuthering Heights. I also love flipping through art books and getting ideas or copying master drawings.

As for movies, Harold and Maude is probably my favorite. I am also a huge Lord of the Rings dork, and am always a fan of Colin Firth and Laurence Olivier. Also in my world Christopher Nolan is a major deity. The man can do no wrong in the world of cinema.

I don't usually watch a lot of TV but I adore RuPaul's Drag Race above all things.

I love a lot of different music and I'm always looking to hear something new. Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Patti Smith, Nick Drake, Alexi Murdoch, The Beatles, The Who, Matchbox 20, Counting Crows, Green Day, the Goo Goo Dolls (Let's just admit it-the 90's kicked ass)...Other stuff I listen to a lot would be Peter Fox, Seeed, Lady Gaga, Robert Plant and Allison Krauss, Iron and Wine, Radiohead, Fleet Foxes, MGMT...and I also love classical music, especially Beethoven.

Shakespeare and how to bring theatre into communities, how to run a non-profit without starving to death, writing plays, what I can cook for dinner that is going to be tasty, and all the amazing things there are to learn about and do in this world! Feeling a bit torn between Portland and Mount Desert Island. Thinking about light and color in landscapes, forms and figures. Wondering about dreams and thinking about what they could mean and how to live my life to the fullest.

Preferably at the art museum!
