My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am at a loss for what to write here. I've tried everything I can think of, I've been honest, I've been witty, I've been indulgent, I've been everything I can think of. So I'm not going to adjust this anymore.

This is the last summary I'm going to put down here, although if anyone else wants to write one for me go nuts.

I'm a nice guy. I can't make any promises, I can't say I'll never hurt you, or that I'll always be there, or anything stupid and impossible like that. I can tell you that I want a relationship. It doesn't have to be my last relationship, there is no pressure to be the one, or be ANYTHING other than who you are. You can do worse than say hi. I'm done pestering people, feeling like I'm just jumping up and down and waving my arms around saying "look at me". That's not what I wanted when I came here. So that's it, I know I'm worth it but it's up to you now. If you see me, and you aren't interested, maybe tell a friend to have a look. I know girls are pestered constantly on sites like this, and the thing is, if I find someone who is awesome, I just become another ass-hole bugging you. All the women I've messaged before, my intentions were sincere. I'm done messaging now though, I'm just going to leave this be now and check my email from time to time. I will always respond, and worst case scenario I'm a pretty awesome friend.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I believe in social change through personal change.

I am a local leader in a larger movement.

I'm a salesman, to pay the bills.

I'm an artist, to keep from going insane. Or more insane at least.

I love expression. Being honest, passionate and fearless. I'm not good at being fearless.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Shy, and quiet. It takes me a while to warm up to people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Metaplanetary, Superluminal, anything by Asimov. Yah, I like the sci-fi. Makes sense with the shyness huh? I don't know why but pop culture completely passed me by, I just don't find any draw to it. Nothing wrong with it, just doesn't make sense to me? Does that make sense?

Fight club, Old Boy, anything by Wes Anderson, various Miyazaki anime like Spirited Away, My neighbor Totoro, Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind, etc. as well as other mind bending anime like Paprika or Tekkonkinkreet. When I want to turn my mind off I watch action and comedy movies.

Currently I'm listening to a lot of Classical with some State Radio and some Noisettes mixed in. Also prominent on my playlist are Tom Waitts, Sublime, Cake, OkGo, Beuna Vista Social Club, and then various video game and movie soundtracks that struck me as worth the download.

I love food, and am currently discovering cooking as part of a healthy lifestyle. I'm not cooking often enough still, but occasionally is still better than never right? I make good soup, stir fry, scalloped potatoes, and macaroni and cheese either from scratch or the box. I try and fill up on veggies, and I have the occasional meatless day. Eventually I'd like to become a weekend carnivore, but that's not likely to happen any time soon. I'm not even a weekend herbivore.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The benefits of modern living (electricity, internet, etc.)
My imagination
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
TED conference is probably the most amazing thing going on right now. If you aren't familiar go check it out. If you know of it and you aren't excited, don't bother saying hi.

I love thinking about the universe, at every level. I'm not a scientist, but I love hearing about what they do. Time flows backwards as well as forwards. There are more dimensions than what we can perceive. Mantis shrimp. Cells. Plants. Psychology. Quantum physics. Philosophy, and ethics.

Music. It all has merit, but I spend the most time listening to classical, reggae, classic rock, and some soundtrack music.

I am a gamer, and would like to try my hand at game design some day. I have made games, and countless aborted games. I play too many games.

I love reading, and sci-fi is my favorite genre besides non-fiction. The best ones tackle the tough questions. Will we still be human when we merge with technology? Are we still evolving? How would absolute perspective affect society?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out at a friends doing some horribly geeky activity, or just talking with them. At home I'd be watching a movie or sitting at my computer, probably both.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ask me yourself. I'll tell you no lies.

You want to know a nice guy who will love you forever (regardless of how creepy that sounds), has the maturity of an adult, the naivete of a child, the force of will of an activist, and an awesome beard.
