My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'll level with you right here, right now. I rolled low for Charisma. Like, an 8. You can tell because I'm communicating this in RPG terms despite knowing that most people wont get it. But that's ok, because I prefer the people that do.

If the above paragraph isn't clear enough, I'm a huge nerd. Or a hipster with a hell of a denial complex. Either way, most things about me fit into a box labeled "GEEKERY" in large black letters. Things like "knows how to assemble a computer" and "writes D&D campaigns featuring enemies which are actually living pastries" comprise a large amount of this box's contents, but there's also a bit of "brews his own beer" and "could probably survive on wild edibles alone" representing another good chunk of space. I should also probably mention that my fashion choices of gauged ears and cowboy boots have been called "delightfully odd". Yeah, "delightfully odd" could be my summary all on its own. But I'm hopefully exaggerating.

Day-to-day, though, I'm a normal enough guy. I get up early and go to work where i design computer systems that keep chemical plants from exploding. I probably eat too much pho and drink too much iced coffee during the week. I go running after work to combat the excess calories gained from said pho and coffee. I really enjoy gaming online with my younger brothers who live too far away for me to see as often as I like. And I like to read before bed.

I'm looking for someone who likes road trips, hiking, cooking, dumb movies, and will possibly force me to learn to dance.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in an office. I shoot bows. I go on long drives. I run a lot. I've played many new and interesting board games recently. But mostly, I sleep. Really. Like, 6-8 hours a day. I've also recently began fencing. With longswords. You know, knightly stuff.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Navigating. My friends say I'm a homing pigeon.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have blue eyes, heavy framed black glasses (sometimes), and size 00g holes in my ears. I suspect those are the winners most often, but my odd, somewhat loud laugh can generally attract a lot of attention too.

But maybe it's just that I'm funny looking. You be the judge.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I've developed a Vonnegut habit. So it goes.

The last movie I really enjoyed was Moonrise Kingdom. It's a bit quirky and odd, as most Wes Anderson films are, and I enjoy that. It was also nice to see Bruce Willis playing a character for once.

Adventure Time and Game of Thrones are all I've kept up with lately. I tend to watch a lot of cartoons. Judge me all you like, I think animation is awesome and I'm not changing my mind about it just because I'm a "grownup".

I play a lot of Borderlands 2 with my brothers. We all live kind of far apart, so it's a good way for us to enjoy each others company. I also like board games. A friend of mine got me into Settlers of Catan and it's just snowballed from there.

I like a lot of different styles of music, but lately I've been alternating between just two bands. Die Antwoord and The Lumineers. It's odd. Die Antwoord makes me want to dance and The Lumineers make me want to sing in public. I think they might be driving me insane...

I like basically all of the food. Seriously. If you can cook, we can be friends.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
There isn't anything I couldn't stand to lose really besides the basic components for life, but if I had to choose ( in no particular order):

road trips
printed books - To hell with Kindles and Nooks!
dark tea - Sweet nectar of the gods...I may have a problem.
soft pencils - Because H/HB is clearly inferior to B.
musical instruments - One man band, baby!
mexican food - If you can make tamales, I'll buy your ring asap.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think about some really odd stuff. Sometimes, I think about what it's like to not think about said stuff, but that usually results in an existential crisis and I'm forced to read really depressing poetry to make myself feel better. Ok, not really. But the idea amused me, so I decided to share.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I like to go out to beer pubs and do in depth research on different styles of beer. Sometimes 4-5 in a sitting, but usually less. After that, it's either time to go to a friends place for board games or home to sleep like bear in mid-winter.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
One of my ears is slightly lower than the other. It makes my glasses sit slightly crooked.

Really though, I tend to over-think everything. The bravado and ego are just a front. Mostly. Usually.
