My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
::I am a United States Sailor.::

Loving life, but now I just need the love of my life?

Currently in Goose Creek...learning how to perform the functions of my job. I travel around when it fits into my schedule.

I have many dreams and many talents. I hope to excel in my career...not sure how long I will be in the Navy for, but I hope to meet great people and see amazing things.

Random Fact: I love ellipses...I use them frequently when typing, talking, texting, etc.

So...who is branman8807?

Well, I am a fun-loving guy who is [oddly] extremely romantic. I have many things that I like to do. I enjoy reading books (not those college textbooks, we're talking about NOVELS!) I watch movies like the world was ending in a few movie collection is ever expanding!
I find joy in other people, I just love making people happy. For once though, it would be nice to have someone who wants to make me happy. I really do love to smile A LOT. I have always had a heart for others and tend to put friends and family above myself, which in the past has proven to be mildly destructive for me. I am slightly compulsive about some things in my life. I like to be in control of the events, circumstances, and happenings on a day to day basis, when I am not, I tend to get frustrated, overwhelmed, and stress out.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
This journey called life has led me places I never thought I would has caused me to meet and interact with people that I have nothing in common with, and it has made me who I am today.

It is almost 2013...I have just started a professional job, while still waiting tables part-time (two nights a week). I just re-joined a gym and at $70 a month, I will be developing a routine to work out 5-6 days a week.

I am single, ready develop lasting friendships, have substantial conversations with interesting people, and share an emotional connection with someone special. I want to explore new things, complete a triathlon, kayak down the Chattahoee River, go on a cruise, and handglide in Austraila.

What am I doing with my life...I am living my life to the fullest, searching for someone to share the good and the bad, and remembering the people, moments, and tears who have made me who I am today.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

You know, we all have talents in life. Although I sometimes wish that my talents were greater in number...I am greateful for what I can do and have done.

I love to think and ponder different things from extentialism to religious doctrines. I love numbers and I am good at math, budgeting, planning, and teaching.

I am definitely creative and I have an above average cooking ability. I do however lack the ability to follow through with some tasks, but I can definitely plan something and direct others to carry out the plan.

Most importantly, I am really good at being open-minded, trying new things, and loving people. I am a hopeless romantic and I enjoy displaying my affection through words, actions, and sometimes through other means.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
You will definitely notice how short I am...I am 5'3".tall! What people don't seem to notice is how self-conscious I am about it! I do the best I can...and if someone can't love me for my height, then maybe it wasn't worth it anyways!

My big dreams are also pretty apparent! I am constantly dreaming big, and one day, I will achieve great success. Most importantly the one thing that I hope people notice when they meet me is my compassion and desire to help others. I am also very knowledgeable, in general...I love to know things, not necessarily to be nosy or anything...I just like to grow my brain with knowledge.

I am very opinionated, about certain things and have the potential to be extremely stubborn. At the same time, I am also very open-minded. I understand that my views about things are not the only views/opinions out there and I will openly listen to another argument and consider a different side of the equation. I am extremely thoughtful and love to discuss random things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Although I read alot and own a ton of movies...I would be hard pressed to pick some favorites so here are my favorite genres...
Books: Fantasy-such as Harry Potter, Sweep, and Eragon; Self-Help/Spirituality-such as The Bible; and anything I open that catches my eye.
Movies: Action, Drama, and Science Fiction...I am not big on Comedies (as most of them tend to be crude and offensive, although some are down-right hillarious), on and absoluteley no HORROR MOVIES...unless I get to cuddle.
TV Shows: I don't have cable, but I do Netflix, when I pay for the service...mainly SCIFI and educational shows-such as How It's Made, and etc...its either Discovery Channel or NBC or some other science channel.
Music: My iPod is home to mainly Gospel, some Pop and Pop/Rock, a little Rock...looking to get into New Age music and Classical music. We can talk specific artists later...
Food: Almost anything that I cook. Love, love, love me some rice. Salmon is awesome. I don't do beef and almost 100% off of pork. Minimal lamb is in my diet...trying to go more with the vegetables...and wild caught fish.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) God - a faith-based relationship that is the foundation of my morals, a background to my religious beliefs, and a guiding presence in my daily undertakings.

2) Memories - they have shaped and molded me, made me who I am, been the reason why I've shed tears, comprised some of the happiest moments of my life. If it were not for your memories, then how else would you define your existence?

3) Water - it holds the essence of life in its molecular composition...I mean if it came down to having water or my phone, it would result in a life or death situation...I'd definitely choose my life!

4) Love - family and friends, even our significant other, all of these people add some degree of purpose to our lives. It makes us feel good and provides a sense of reason in our lives...after all who doesn't want to feel loved by someone or something?

5) Free-will - I am very much independent, I enjoy thinking for myself. I want to be able to do what I want, and not always need permission or have to do what someone else tells me to. I spend a great deal of time thinking, if that were taken away from me, even for a second, then I would be a little more than a puppet, made to do someone else's bidding. Not my idea of being alive, what do you think?

6) Oxygen - it's kind of like water...its a necessity, even more so than this computer...electricity, or my home.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
A quote that I once heard, "Where you stand determines what you see...and how you live." Sometimes it is best to take a step away and reexamine your actions, your goals, and your options to reset, reenergize, and reorganize your life.

My next move in life, how I will shape my career, and whether or not I will be successful...when I will leave my job to go back to school is a huge question.

How much will I sacrifice to pursue my dreams?

And last but certainly NOT least, I am preoccupied with where I've been, where I am, and where I will be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
... doing one or more of the following:
- enjoying the fact that I have a fantastic job and I get to enjoy my weekend;
- probably laying on my couch, watching a movie from my collection;
- shopping;
- taking an impromptu road trip;
- exploring the many venues in Atlanta;
- becoming more well rounded by exploring other aspects of culture;
- trying to meet a good guy/guys.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out! mom was my best friend. deepst fear in life is being alone.
...I am an awesome cook.
...if I admit anything else, the it woukdn't be private, would it? So if you want to know more, just ask!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. should message me if you think that a romantic relationship is founded on the following core principles: trust, love, friendship, honesty, acceptance, maturity, understanding, forgiveness, compromise...those are a few, but mostly the important aspects of a relationship to me. I am not saying that you have to agree with all of them, but if you did...then you'd definitely have a much better chance.

Also, don't think that you have to change who you are to date a guy like me...I want you to come as you are, NOT who you want me to think you are. Trust me the number one deal breaker for me is finding out someone I'm interested in lied about who they really bueno.

I would like to say that although I am not a gym nut, I am planning on doing a triathlon soon, so I am going to start training for that...I have a pretty hot body. You should have one too...sorry, but I do have STRICT views on about people's physical appearance-concerning their body. I know you have no control over genetics, but everyone has control over how they take care of themselves.

Also, if you've made it to this might as well go ahead and read the rest. I have done my dirt in life, including things that I now regret. The one thing that I've always desired but had the most difficult time finding is a real relationship. I suppose it is because of my strict thoughts, views, and requirements on the person that I date. Although I, like the next guy, want to have fun, be pleasured, and feel loved, please note that at my current state, I am looking for someone who I can grow with and potentially settle down with. That being said, I will entertain the notion of a guy or two...but what I desire the most is a girlfriend. I really do prefer my girls to be on the slightly older [than me] side 25-29 is a good place to start. Please understand that if you message me and I don't respond with a day or two it is because I am not interested.
What I'm looking for in Girls: slim, attractive, educated, fun-loving, brunettes are best, goal-oriented, I prefer you to be of some other ethnic origin other than African American...more to come

...We're not even going to talk about the guys right now...but should you really want to talk to me please be within my age range that I request, masculine, and attractive. Oh and educated beyond high school and we can go from there.
