My self-summary
It's hard to sum oneself up. I'll let the rest of my profile speak for itself. But for those who find Myers-Briggs typology helpful, I'm an INFJ. FYI, I need to update this profile. It's ancient.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from Utah State University with bachelors in both political science and sociology.

Currently, I work at eBay. During the school year, I am a high school debate coach. I hope to have a career in either academia or government eventually.

I plan on attending UT Austin for their public policy grad program shortly.

When I find the time, I practice guitar and write for an atheist/agnostic blog (www.usureason.com).
I’m really good at
Making people laugh and think. I also like to write, and I've been told I have a talent for it. And while I don't have a natural ear for music, I'm a competent guitar player.
The first things people usually notice about me
My beard. People also discover quickly that I'm very open about who I am and what I believe.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shows: The Daily Show, The Whitest Kids U Know, MST3K, The Office, Seinfeld, Louie, Parks and Recreation, Tosh.0, Arrested Development, South Park, Family Guy, Stella

Movies: The Social Network, Grizzly Man, The Producers (the original!), Sicko, American Beauty, Reservoir Dogs, Knocked Up, Promises, Troll 2

Music: Die Ärzte (German punk rock band), The Beatles, R.E.M., Kings of Leon, The Smiths, Arcade Fire, Guster, Paolo Nutini, Depeche Mode, Cake

Books: Too many books to name. I read almost exclusively non-fiction. I prefer challenging books that help expand my intellectual horizons to ones that primarily entertain.

Food: I love most food, but in recent months I've been doing the vegetarian thing (despite my love for meat).
The six things I could never do without
Friends, family, my dogs, good books, fresh air, and interesting conversations.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, philosophy, religion, sexuality, etc. I'm a humanities nerd, and those subjects always occupy my brain.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing guitar, writing, and hanging out with my friends and dogs.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an open book. Life is too short to keep secrets. If there's something you want to know, just ask.
You should message me if
You want to.
