My self-summary
I am a fairly happy Catholic. I am serious about my faith and like who I am as a person. I have a Masters in Anthropology and specialize in Forensic Anthropology but have a solid background in Native American Studies. My undergraduate minor was Psychology. The majority of my youth was spent in Pennsylvania and I have a love of nature which stems from that. I like to go camping in the woods. I have a large number of interests and tend to know a little bit about everything. I recently finished the complete works of the Bronte sisters which I enjoyed a good deal for the most part - the less said about Agnes Grey and Villette the better. I am somewhat social but I prefer small groups to large gatherings and one-on-one to that. For some reason children and dogs seem to love me.

I love to go out Swing Dancing which I have been doing since high school - I'm not particularly good for throwing but am what could be classified as a "spinner" in that I can be spun a lot without getting dizzy or losing my place so I can make anyone look awesome. I also like two-stepping and games of Trivial Pursuit. I sing in my church's choir and generally enjoy singing, even kareoke. I work two jobs at the moment so it feels like I never have free time sometimes, but I always find some for others.

I also say "Ya'll".
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm working and trying to stay close to my Grandmother in her twilight years. I have no desire to share the regrets of Joseph Plum Martin that I didn't spend time with my Grandparents while they were still alive. It does mean that at the moment I am not pursuing jobs in my field, but my field will always be there, I doubt my Grandma will.
I’m really good at
Playing card games - seriously, I warn you I'm Italian and I will beat you in Rummy... unless you are also Italian, then it gets tricky.
Also I can cook.
The first things people usually notice about me
Hard to say. I'm going to guess it's the short hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My all time favorite movies are: Watership Down, The Secret of Roan Inish, Veronica Guerin, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Mouse That Roared.

Books: Watership Down (kinda a duh there), surprisingly I liked "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon", Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, Jane Eyre, Wurthering Heights, The Tennant of Wildfell Hall, and many others that I will add when I think of them.

Music: What can I say I'm a Springsteen fan, also Jimmy Buffet, and The Clarks

Foods: I'm a big fan of Italian and Polish. I like Primanti's Brothers, and good soups.
The six things I could never do without
God, food, Sleep, shelter, water, trees
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Various things, preferably interesting ones but occasionally mundane.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing something... don't know what, generally I don't plan that far ahead... I guess at some point I go to sleep no matter what Friday it is.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I guess, like many other originals here, that I joined because I had a moderate addiction to tests on thespark.com and was so wanting to take the new one that I was willing to join a site that I never even heard of. Oh well, live and learn.

Also I know the entire original version of the "There once was a man from Nantucket" limerick - it's clean, squeeky clean actually. I took the time one day to learn it.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 24–44
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You feel like it. I almost always respond back; I mean, afterall, you did take the time to write.

Or if you want to know the real words to that infamous limerick.
