^That's a Dylan quote...not a proclamation of my gentlemanly
nature. Though I was raised to do so.
First off I realize that a main photo featuring a beer in hand may
not be attractive to some viewers. I would like to explain that
while I DO actually enjoy drinking beer about once a week, the
photo was actually for the sake of documenting my Halloween
costume. If you don't get it try googling "The Most Interesting Man
in the World" possibly tied to the topic "Dox Equis
comercial".
Glad we could get that sorted out.
As far as hobbies...I REALLY enjoy just kicking back with some beer
and good classic rock tunes once a week....maybe a Friday or
Saturday evening. I can easily be talked into poking around in
record stores. I enjoy video games from time to time...but am not
consumed with them. I also enjoy playing pool but seldom actually
have a chance to do it. Provided that my work schedule doesn't
interfere, I am always game for a weekend at the coast or a drive
out to Hood River.
Unlike most other males I have absolutely ZERO interest in any
sport or team. I have nothing to contribute whatsoever when a
conversation about football or basketball is initiated.
On average I would have to reluctantly admit that I am more of a
homebody. I travel a lot for work so I value my time to relax at
home. That being said, I can be talked into activities outside of
the home...especially with the right motivation.
I am working and trying to get as much pleasure out of life as I
can despite the insurmountable odds.
Classic rock trivia.
I NEVER smile for the camera. I also noticed that most of my
pictures feature some sort of facial hair. I don't always have
scruff on my face...I shave from time to time.

How difficult it is to wrap my mind around the immensity of the
universe. And how amazing it is that our planet is over 4 billion
years old and hasn't been obliterated by one of the many random,
high velocity objects flying around out there.
I also think a lot about how insignificant ALL of our reality is
when considering how short our existence has been on this planet.
We are like microscopic particles(at best) on a grain of sand in a
desert. When considering our insignificance, the infinite expanse
of space and how brief our existence has been in the
universe....how can anybody really believe in something like
religion?
It also amazes me that humans have been on earth for maybe 200,000
years but have only been civilized(by any stretch) for maybe 4,000
years? The leaps and bounds made in only a few hundred years is
remarkable when compared to how many years we spent in the stone
age.
I also think a lot about how humans have adapted and evolved such a
superior intellect, in comparison to other earth species, yet we
are so prone to bad habits that shorten our lives...or even weaken
us as a species. Not to mention what we might be doing to the
planet. It seems to contradict the whole idea of evolution. And
that comes from someone who is an atheist.
Sometimes I have to work. Sometimes I am out around town. Sometimes
I am enjoying some cold ones and tunes at home. Other times I can
be found running around Ironforge.
I enjoy the song Xanadu by Olivia Newton John and E.L.O. I
know...it's bad.
...you would like to chat with a non-douchebag under the age of
50.
Or if you have
Beatles Rock Band and want to
share with me. I haven't had the pleasure yet.
...you prefer to see me in 3D.
