No other quote quite sums up how I feel about my life than that. I consider myself to be the most fortunate person on this planet, and I work hard at maintaining my attitude of gratitude. I believe in the power of positivity... so much so that I have a plus-sign tattooed on my bicep. I have zero room in my life for negativity or complaining. I think negativity is poisonous, corrosive, and unproductive. I don't do drama, and I don't play games.
I'm very career-driven at this stage in my life. I have a 3-5 year goal of becoming a civil rights litigator, and I'm phenomenally motivated to make that happen, no matter what it takes. That said, I do maintain a balanced life, and take time to enjoy the things I love about San Diego: epic beer selection, killer surf, and amazing Mexican food.
Surfing is a really big part of my life, and I try and spend as much time in the water as possible. So if you're down with the surf scene, let me know.
My meditation and Dharma practice is also a really important part of my life, as it helps to keep me centered and not clinging to the garbage which tends to floats across the human mind.
Also, I'm mostly over the bar scene, and would rather go to bed early to get up for an early morning surf session than stay out until 3:00am drinking. But I can still get down every now and then.
