I am reflective, imaginative, and autonomous.

My Self-Summary

If I could use any word to describe myself it would be 'quirky'. There's nothing I enjoy more than surprising people, myself included. I am complex, but in the way that makes me just a little odd, not pretentiously 'deep'. I love to make people laugh, and can't imagine living a life without a strong group of friends to have fun and joke around with.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I'm a junior in college, trying desperately to make it through this time, all the while knowing that someday I will look back upon this time as one of ease. I know it's cheesy, but I love learning. I want to go to graduate school, hopefully for social work or counseling. I know that I want to do a job that in someway benefits humanity.

At some point I would like to make my own comic book and open up my own bookstore.

I’m really good at

baking, learning, adapting, sarcasm, finding ironic silver linings

The first things people usually notice about me

A friend told me I looked like a cartoon the other day, but I'm not sure how I was supposed to take that.

I'm much weirder than I first appear.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Feast of Love, the Picture of Dorian Grey, Neverwhere, Jane Eyre, Watchmen, the Watch Series by Sergei Lukaneyo, Veronika Decides to Die, the Unbearable Lightness of Being, the Book of Lost Things, the Time traveler's wife

Movies: You've Got Mail, the Royal Tenembaums (basically anything directed by Wes Anderson), Star Trek, Juno, the Jerk, the Boondock Saints

Music: mostly Indie and Classic Rock. Van Morrison and the Counting Crows are at the top of my list, as are the Kinks and Feist.

Food: I'm not picky, but right now I'm trying vegetarianism (which means I am being picky). I love Indian and Thai food. As long as it's not greasy (and for the time being, meat), I'll eat it.

The six things I could never do without

side-splitting, snort-worthy laughter
knowledge
a healthy level of cynicism
Family/Friends
My IPod
good conversation

I spend a lot of time thinking about

It's a chaotic world in my head. Things just pass through randomly, it seems.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either at home hanging out with my roommate, or out somewhere. It really depends and I'm not attached to any specific plans.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm not sure what to put here... if there's a random thing that you care to know about, let me know.

You should message me if

you feel so inclined.
