I am witty, easy going, and generous.
My Self-Summary
Well I finally took a big plunge. Just left my nice corporate job
and went back to school full time here in North Carolina to get my
MBA. Nice.
I love sports (particularly hockey, football, golf, and basketball)
and am just enjoying life as a student again. It's great to be
around a lot of intelligent people and being challenged. So much
better than work.
Anyway, I love to get new perspectives on things, and am just
trying to meet new people that I can share good times with. My
friends say I'm kind of obsessed with explaining things and, well,
I guess that's true. Such is life.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently trying to get some letters attached to my name, you know,
improve the career prospects a bit. I think I'm just a student at
heart so going back to school is something I've wanted to do since
I got out of college. Glad I made the choice to come, Chapel Hill
is a great place and I'm loving being back in the classroom.
Was a financial analyst for a big corporation for a few years. Not
so much the life for me.
I’m really good at
Definitely an all star at dek hockey, random knowledge, and any
sort of game you can bring up out of the blue. Apparently I'm good
at imitations and accents, just make sure you let them come
organically.
The first things people usually notice about me
From what I can tell I'm a fairly good dresser and have a pretty
good overall build. Most people tell me my whit is quick and
attractive, but you would need to talk to me to get that.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I like to get myself involved in a lot of different interests. My
favorite books are probably Fight Club and Survivor by Chuck
Pahlunick, the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, the Kite Runner, and lots
of different business books. Movies I also like Fight Club, Vanilla
Sky, movies with Will Ferrel, Children of Men, Juno, and The Matrix
trilogy. Music wise I'm all over the place. I love a lot of
alternative and punk, including Muse, Alkaline Trio, Breaking
Benjamin, Bad Religion, and the Shins. I also like rap but think
it's fairly garbage now, so I stick with the oldies like 2Pac,
Biggie, Nas, and my boy Tech N9ne. I LOVE any sort of different
kind of food. Give me something new and I'll try it. Ethiopian,
Thai, Japanese, Brazilian, I love it all.
The six things I could never do without
The six things I could never do without, eh? Tough
question....
1. Family. I'm lucky to have a family like my own. That's all I'll
say on that.
2. Friends. This should really go without saying, but without the
people who are closest to you what are you?
3. Music, I know that regardless of the mood I'm in I have the
right song to enhance my state of mind, and if I didn't it would be
devastating.
4. The internet. Gotta love being able to find anything at the push
of a button.
5. The gym. Kind of addicted to it now.
6. My memory foam mattress cover. If you have one you know why.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Um, this one seems to change a lot day to day. Recently it's been
all about what I want to find a job in after school, but sometimes
it's a lot deeper than that. Honestly if you ask me what I'm
thinking about, it could be anything, so just make sure you're
willing to talk about the answer.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, lately it's been all about "networking" with my new friends.
This can be pretty all over the place though. I like to go out but
sometimes it's a lot better to stay in. Typically I'll hang out
around the place and then meet some people out for drinks or movies
or some other form of entertainment.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I would much rather be a writer or some sort of an intellectual
than a financial analyst. I feel like I pigeonholed myself into a
career that I will never be passionate about. I hope that some day
I get the balls to do what I really love. School should help with
that.
You should message me if
Why not? If nothing piqued your interests you probably wouldn't
have gotten this far anyway!
