My self-summary
my dog, junior, was in a chevy commercial, which made me proud to be her father, but a little disappointed that she sold out.

i like art and music and all the usual stuff, but never quite got my varsity letter. i'm trying to replace politics and religion with an elliptical machine, and regular appointments with judge judy.

i'm technically canadian, but more accurately another midwest refugee, coming up on eight years in new york...
What I’m doing with my life
i sue employers and draw pictures for the internet. if there's a god, this seems to be her plan for my life.
I’m really good at
i'm both proud/embarrassed to be pretty good at silly iPhone word games.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: franzen's "the corrections" is wonderful, and john fante's "road to los angeles" is the book i most wish i'd written.

movies: i always want everyone to watch "american movie" (it's a documentary, but it's amazing). most recently, i really liked "inside llewyn davis."

music: i still like to listen to bruce springsteen's "nebraska," but i think "yeezus" was my favorite album of last year. (sorry!)

(i've been listening to lots of podcasts lately, which means at night i have dreams of marc maron...)

food: makes me happy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
for better or worse, i make "art" at thebadchemicals.com, and i'm a "lawyer"...
