I am artistic, musical, and a lateral thinker.
My Self-Summary
I am an architect and spent my adult life in the USA where I
emigrated to from London in 1978. I am now a dual national. I went
to St Martins School of Art in London for four years where I
studied sculpture and photography then to the Architectural
Association School of Architecture for five years in London where I
studied architecture. I first arrived in New York with my tenor sax
and played in jazz clubs then I went up to Boston and studied alto
sax and composition at the Berklee school of Music for two years. I
gigged around for a while played in some rock musicals and went
back into architecture where I stayed for twenty plus years. I
married in 1987 and moved to the state of Rhode Island commuting to
Boston until my wife died in 2003. My wife’s death was cancer
related we have no children. I worked for a high profile design
firm in Boston which I left in 2004 and returned to London, bought
a house which I fixed up and then sold and moved to France and
bought the house I am now in.
What I’m doing with my life
I bought this old house in the village of BASSAC in 2007 and am
fixing it up. I live here with my two dogs (welsh cardigan corgis)
named Henry and Laura. I spend my time fixing the house, learning
to play piano, going out on photographic shoots, making art,
listening to music and going out on long country walks with my
dogs. I have a small sports car which I drive much too fast around
the French country side. I am now a vegetarian, do not smoke, do
not drink and do not take any drugs. Enjoy cooking I am getting
back into reading.
I’m really good at
I became very competent at architecture and in particular at
management. I built schools, hospitals, university buildings,
libraries and some religious buildings (all denominations) and a
lot of housing. I have good design skills and am a competent
computer end user. I am well organized and like to get things done.
I have a knack for finding solutions to obscure problems.
