I am Open-Minded, Friendly, and Unconventional.

My Self-Summary

My name is Brian and I've lived in Rocky Hill ever since I purchased a condo back in 2004. I consider myself to be an extremely open minded, unconventional, honest, caring individual with a good sense of humor. People tell me I have a big heart. I guess you could call me a 'nice guy' who tries to put his best foot forward everyday. I'm definitely not your average guy, but I'm quite comfortable with the way I am.

My true passion in life is traveling it's one of my driving forces. My dream is to experience and explore the world and I plan on traveling for the rest of my life. I typically visit at least one country per year and so far I've been to Asia, Europe, and Central/South America. My most recent trips were to India (all over), and Argentina (Patagonia); both were incredible! I believe that traveling enriches life and opens up ones eyes to a whole new world. I love learning about unique cultures and meeting interesting people in my travels.

I also love SLR photography, music, movies, electronics, billiards, conversation, dining out, outdoorsy stuff, and I appreciate art. Oh yeah, I am also kind of a trivia nerd. Don't we all have our dorky side? Bars and parties are okay but often I just prefer to keep it low key and hang out, talk, or just watch a movie. Family and friends are important to me as well.

I love movies and make good use of my Netflix account: comedies, dramas, docs, foreign, horror, action and campy B movies. If they're good (or laughably bad), I'll give them a go. As for music, I like mostly Rock like the Beatles, Doors, Killers etc. I'm really not too picky as long as it's not Hip Hop. Man, do I hate Hip Hop... I enjoy working out and do so regularly, however, I dislike sports and anything sports-related. Go figure.

I have a good job at an insurance company, but I have never really considered myself to be a 'career oriented' individual. I've always thought that there's more to life than clawing your way up to the top of a corporate ladder. I am someone who works to live, not lives to work. I am a dreamer. However, I realize the importance of planning for the future and consider myself to very responsible financially. My overall philosophy be positive and kind to others, while living life to the fullest.

I would like to meet someone who is kind and is not afraid to be different and have their own voice. Ideally, I would love meet a girl with a similar spirit of adventure; someone to traverse the globe and share memories with.

That's all for now. Sorry, I wrote a novel... Any more questions, please ask.

What I’m doing with my life

Living it

I’m really good at

1 Being a friend
2 Planning trips
3 Reading people
4 Being an optimist

The first things people usually notice about me

Probably my black hair, though it's starting to look a bit 'distinguishing' (salt & peppery) these days. Between you and me, it beats going bald any day.

The six things I could never do without

1 Family
2 Friends
3 Travel and adventure
4 Photography
5 Technology
6 Good food

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Life, Philosophy, Anything, Everything.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Hmmm...that I like to snuggle. Does that make me less of a man?
