My self-summary
Okay, you liked the book cover. Now I need a strong chapter to keep you reading...

Happy with what's around me. When most go right, like to turn left. Good-hearted, down-to-earth, fun to be around, social skills in check, spontaneous, adventurous with a touch of wanderlust. When traveling, stick with the locals and avoid the tourists. Have learned from mistakes and life's challenges and still stand tall. Come from a large family (very close), relish my role as the "cool Uncle." Willing to be open, silly yet solid, and not afraid to take a leap. Would rather create my own scene.
What I’m doing with my life
TV production. Have been working really hard on something I'm very proud of and it's a bonus to work with the kind of people I've always hoped for.
I’m really good at
Being me.

Getting a party to co-mingle (we're not in middle school anymore).

Lazy Sundays & Spontaneous Tuesdays.

Buying more than one book at a bookstore.

oh, and stove-top popcorn!!!
The first things people usually notice about me
My unruly hair (sometimes it has a mind of it's own) and that I can find fun/laughs anywhere.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: KCRW!!!!!! Love discovering new music. Concerts in the park, at a bar, in a bodega... anywhere. Death Cab for Cutie, Postal Service, Phoenix, The Black Keys, Luminers, Mumford & Sons, The Shins, Prince, MGMT, Beck, REM, Badly Drawn Boy, Cut Copy, Franz Ferdinand, Thievery Corporation, Massive Attack, Portishead, Morcheeba, Roots, Smiths, Dean Martin, Ella Fitzgerald, Big Band. Musically all over the place.

Books: Nut, absolute nut for historical fiction. Historical mysteries. Love turn-of-the-century settings. Berlin Noir, Time&Again, Devil in the White City, Forever, Dreamland, Paradise Alley. Paul Aster, Nick Hornby, Pete Hamill, The Road, Classics. Can admit, had gone crazy for the Hunger Games books.

Food: Enjoy gathering with friends and cooking together.

Movies/TV: Archer, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, BBC America, Monty Python. Dexter, Downton Abbey, pretty much every John Cusack movie, Hitchcock, Wes Anderson's movies, really too many movies to ever list.
The six things I could never do without
Shazam (greatest app ever!).
My next book to read.
Good pillow.
Stovetop popcorn.
You. (Did you fall for that? Didn't think so... ok, then I'll say Apples.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The road ahead, but keeping an open mind on what's around me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Prefer a "Spontaneous Tuesday" over a "Typical Friday."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Every "private thing" I think to share here, can't compare to that I've created an online dating post. Wish I met you at a market or bookstore.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 29–40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You have a smile that lights up the room. Silly, fun, warm, spontaneous, well-read, loves her family, generous, passionate about anything that inspires you and not afraid to laugh at yourself. Make me smile, even when you're not around.

Okay... cute would be nice.
