My self-summary
I'm an Indiana guy living in Chicago since 2006. I live for live music, my pups (one massive Mastiff and one little beagle dude), running outside, and trying every restaurant in the city before I die.
What I’m doing with my life
Professionally, I'm a transactional attorney. I love it at times, but the hours are rough and at night in my living room I pretend I am actually a rock star for a living. While having offices all over makes it easy for me to do some longer weekend trips around the country, my future travel goals are to take two larger vacations a year and totally disconnect.
I’m really good at
Fairly decent at playing musical instruments, and outstanding at getting very high scores in golf.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite books are probably: "Into the Wild" because I assume everyone spending their lives in a major city can relate to the need to disappear/disconnect, despite the ending; "Marching Powder" because you can fly through it and it's so hard to believe it's a true story; and "Killing Yourself to Live" mostly because all of Klosterman's books are more or less the same and I think everyone's favorite is the first one they happen to read

Albums: "Bob Dylan - Highway 61" - it just never gets old. It rocks, provokes and it's Bob; "Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place" - There's no way to describe this album that does it justice, but I could probably try if asked; and "Wilco - Being There" just because it's SO LONG
On a typical Friday night I am
Preferably starting with a private or smaller group dinner somewhere chill to unwind after a work week, and then transitioning to a larger group out and about either somewhere with a great jukebox, somewhere with a patio, or somewhere with live music.
