My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well. New profile time since the old one was from high school and I thought of OK Cupid as a personality test site more than a dating site. Ta-da!

I'm an arty, sometimes sophisticated, sometimes goofy, pencil-weilding, fiber-loving, book-worm of an Air Force brat who loves Colorado more than any other place on the planet. I've been around the world a few times. My 2nd favorite country is hands-down Japan. Would live there for a bit if I didn't have family here, but my family is pretty important to me. I travel with work- love it- and love trying new things. I'm thinking of polishing up my horrible non-existant fiddle skills this fall. Thinking hard.

I moved back from DC 2 years ago and I've been looking for new friends- people to hangout with, talk to, have coffee with. I like the indie crowd- I might be a beatnik if the century were right, and if it were less popular, I think I'd be a hipster. I like hanging out on South Broadway/Baker, and since my day job includes alcohol, I prefer not to go out to bars all the time. Coffee shops, art museums, bike rides. I'm fixing up an old Raleigh Sport bicycle from the 70s which I adore, but it doesn't run so well. We'll see how that goes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I'm in the family business, trying to improve the business model with my awesome Fine Art degree. No, the family business have nothing to do with art. I import alcohol. I've been taking extra-curricular accounting and business classes at ACC to supplement the left side of my brain. I was Sommelier certified last year, which has been fun to use, but I try not to snob-out about it if I can help it.
I would like to be an art teacher someday.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hm. I am good at arts and crafts. Sewing, metalsmithing, weaving, drawing, mural-painting, origami (I can fold a crane behind my back!), and possibly cooking depending on opinion. I cook in the Chez Panisse style. Not Red Robin. Most people enjoy the later.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've always gotten comments on my eyes- they're pretty dang blue, though sometimes they shift to grey. If we're being honest though... it's my chest men are looking at.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

"All the Kings Men" by Robert Penn Warren is my favorite book, not for its subject, but for its superb writing. It is the epitome of the run-on sentence, which I believe to be the most natural way we speak and think. Grammar just gets in the way. I also like Vonnegut and Murakami. Sensing a theme? I am not above Harry Potter and Dan Brown, to be fair.

Movies... I like everything except for action and horror films. I haven't been able to sit through an action film for a decade, and the last horror film I saw was the Ring. Eeeee! My favs are the Russian Ark- an art film taken all in one continuous shot, and Constantine which I can watch over and over and over again, for reasons I still don't understand.

Music? Leonard Cohen. Bob Dylan. Mumford. Sea Wolf. Bluegrass. Folk.

Food is easy. Everything. With all the traveling I've done I have become very keen on high-quality food, especially Japanese, and I'm all over the farm-to-table movement. Go farmers!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Possibly yarn...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The big picture. So much of life is day to day, that it's a little hard to focus on the more important things, like how your actions affect others and how others affect you. I am my best when I am thinking in this manner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends if possible, if not I'm drawing in a dark and mysterious cafe somewhere, or knitting and chilling at home watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Heh heh heh...
