My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm me!
Wait, you need more than that?
Hm. That's rough. Let's see-
I have been called a social butterfly, but I prefer the term, "Collector of friends." I have friends everywhere in the world, and a fairly diverse group in Denver. I don't mean to brag, but it's like a resume, right? If they like me, it's possible you will, too.

I work a lot because I partially own the family company I work for. Small business for the win. Down with chain liquor stores. (I'm an importer, not a store, by the way)

I love art. It makes life better.

I like to hit up the hipster scene from time to time. I love to garden and go to farmer's markets. I preserve/can so many pickles and make so much pasta sauce I need lots of help eating it. (this could be why I have so many friends.)

I love to bike casually to the store or work. Wish I had someone to hike/camp/fish with, but don't get out on my own to do those things much anymore. Alas. Someday.

I travel overseas once a year for work. I really love travel. Really. Just went to Iceland and Estonia and my mind was blown. Boom.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Wine importer by day. Yum.
Artist by night. Sweet.
But what am I doing? Living! Living it all!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can turn a sheep into a suit. No, really. Give me some time. I'll do it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've always gotten comments on my eyes- they're pretty dang blue.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
"All the Kings Men" by Robert Penn Warren is my fav literary masterpiece.
I also like Vonnegut, Allende, Murakami and Neil Gaiman.
I am not above Harry Potter.

Movies... I like everything except for action and horror films.
My favs are the Russian Ark- an art film, and Constantine which I can watch over and over and over again, for reasons I will never understand. I don't know if I like Miyazaki or Ozu better as directors… but can watch any of their films on loop.

I don't own a TV, but I have seen and enjoyed shows such as Dr. Who, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, The Wire…

Music? Leonard Cohen. Bob Dylan. Mumford. Sea Wolf. Bluegrass. Folk.

Art!!!!!!!!! I can like almost anything. There are a few things that I don't "like," but can appreciate for how they make me interact with the world and realize things about myself. Big C. Still fan. Love Dwight William Tyron, Mucha, Kusama, Turrell, Weiwei… I guess I like big art.

Food is easy. Everything. With all the traveling I've done I have become very keen on high-quality food, especially Japanese, and I'm all over the farm-to-table movement. Go farmers! My favorite restaurant in Denver is Uncle.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pen/Pencil (That's totes one thing)
Blank-paged books (with no lines, grrrr!)
Books (with words in them)
Possibly yarn (but I could make do with a sheep or llama)
…maybe some water.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The big picture. So much of life is day to day, that it's a little hard to focus on the more important things, like how your actions affect others and how others affect you. I am my best when I am thinking in this manner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
making art, knitting, drinking coffee in a dark cafe, telling my pup about my crazy week and planning alllll the things for the weekend!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Heh heh heh...

You like art, have a sense of humor and an itch to travel the world, can roll-with-the-punches, can hold a decent conversation about the last thing you heard on NPR, and contain a spirit for whimsy and the fantastic.
