I have been called, "a really cool girl," "honest and genuine," a bit "old school," a "tough cookie" and a "hard worker." I think all of them are true. I value honesty and goodness over anything else. I always tell the truth and would hope for the same from the people that are close to me. Being a "tough cookie" comes with my profession. I am a middle school English teacher and if you have any experience with teenagers, then you get it. I absolutely LOVE my job. I did not become a teacher for the summer vacations because believe me, it wouldn't be worth it. I do what I do because it just...fits. It's not easy, but very rewarding. So I guess that's where the "hard worker" description comes from. In terms of the "old school" description, I think that old fashion values are underrated. There is something to be said about chivalry on a man's part and affection and attentiveness on a woman's. I will never get tired of a man pulling out a chair or running ahead to hold a door for me or bringing me flowers "just because..." As for the "cool girl" label...I don't ask. I'll just take it! I'd like to think I'm cool. lol

Things I love (in no particular order): vinyl, THE BEACH, a positive outlook (you get what you give...)roller coasters, quiet confidence, , my dog, a great bottle of wine, kissing, a great, comfy pair of jeans, really spicy food, Sunday morning breakfast, boats, planes, laughing til it hurts, pure kindness, thunderstorms, The Beatles, workin out, cooking,(I'm quite good at it) amusement parks, tattoos...

I would die happy if I could live at the beach, travel to new places a few times a year and never have to search for a parking spot when I get home ever again! Lol

Does this really matter? I don't think I've had similar tastes in music, movies or tv with anyone I've ever been in a relationship, nor do I share these interests with any of my closest friends. It's what makes things interesting!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Moving to a beachy climate in a foreign country where I can learn a new language, wear flip flops every day and be perpetually tan:)

Perplexed by the over abundance of people that are unable to count to six. (Referring to the section above)

I'm actually a Brooklyn native. I'm not a hipster, I don't live in Williamsburg. I eat meat and I drive a car.People find that surprising. I guess that's a rare commodity these days...

You would like to chat and actually meet, not just exchange texts and emails and you are not the serial dater type. I'm tired of first dates.
