Something that I learned in high school and which I continue to try to remember every day is to constantly strive for self improvement. Whether it's physical, mental, emotional, psychological, or any other -al, I am always on the look out for what I can be doing better and how to become a better person. Although it's basically a never ending challenge, I see it as an opportunity to grow. And besides, it keeps me on my toes!

A bit of background about me: I grew up in the Chicago suburbs, but went to Cal for my undergrad. I was fortunate enough to find an activity that I truly loved (Ultimate frisbee), through which I met amazing people and had some silly but memorable moments - including being naked in a giant planter on campus (whoops, there goes the most private thing I'll admit!)

I moved to the city a couple years ago and am so lucky to live in a fun neighborhood with some awesome and bright roommates.

By day I'm analyzing data for online ad sales, creating synergies, and shifting paradigms. Ok, maybe not the last two...but you should see my TPS reports :)

Outside of work, I'm working out, trying new restaurants and bars in SF, volunteering a bit, spending time with friends in the city, and reading (which recently has meant catching up on a pile of old New Yorker issues). I bought a road bike a few months ago and would love to be going on more rides! And I also just signed up for an improv course

Books: Anything by Salman Rushdie. Some other favorites include Cutting for Stone, Cloud Atlas, Middlesex, Shantaram, and All Creatures Great & Small. Currently I'm reading 100 Years of Solitude, although it's taking me waaaaay too long!

Movies: Office Space, Shawshank Redemption, Hero, and Inglorious Basterds. Last movie I saw: The Queen of Versailles

Shows: South Park, The Wire, and Arrested Development

Music: Some favorites include Andrew Bird, Blind Pilot, Drake, Fleet Foxes, Girlyman, Guster, John Legend, Kid Cudi, Kanye, Nujabes, Rilo Kiley, Sufjan Stevens, Tune-Yards, and Washed Out. I'm always looking to hear something new though, and love going to concerts. The last concert I went to was Kishi Bashi

Food: Practically anything vegetarian...except vegan cheese. I've tried it a few times and it's just a little too weird for my taste. And it doesn't really melt. Sad times
