My self-summary
You suddenly find yourself in front of a cave. In front of you there is a profile of a straight, 30 year old male. He seems to enjoy quality beers (specially stouts), ocassionaly geeking out, trivia nights, has a grin on his face that looks impossible to wipe away and already seems poised to take on the next challenge. You decide to:

-Turn away, turn to page 23
-Use the watch that you retrieved in the swamp of nostalgia to go back in time , turn to page 45
-Keep on reading...well keep on reading.
What I’m doing with my life
"I love the living room. It’s very encouraging…
I feel so alive when I’m in here.
“what you doing in there man?”
“i’m LIVING dude! why don’t you try it some time… stop dining”-Demitri Martin

Like most I do the usual 9-5 thing, advancing in the corporate world (banking to exact) and earning a paycheck that goes to bills, savings, etc. Truthfully I like to define my life with what I do outside of work and that tends to involve spending time with people that make day to day life a bit less boring.

I'm usually staying pretty busy, and one of my favorite things is trying out a new activity. That's how I taken up different activities such as running (working on getting my Half Marathon time to under 110 min...almost there!), rock climbing, swing dancing, euro style board games (Alahambra, Puerto Rico, Agricola...any of these ring a bell you should message me!), etc.
I’m really good at
If empathy was a super power I would be known as The Empetath, going around the city and listening to people's problems and being generally supportive, all while wearing my underwear outside of clothes.

I tend to remember the small details in conversations. If you have a test/interview or someone in your family is sick there's a good chance I'll ask follow up on it.
The first things people usually notice about me
How I wear my emotions on my face. Its usually easy to tell what I'm thinking due to this, which means I tend to stay away from high stake poker games..

I been getting (weirdly enough) various compliments on my calves. So yeah, that's unexpected.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Fried Green Tomatoes for book, movie and food.

Movies: I'm a huge movie buff and it would take me way too long to list everything, but I will say Shawshank Redemption is always my favorite movie. Django Unchained has become a new favorite, easily one of the Tarantino's bests. I'm also way too excited about Dallas finally getting an Alamo Drafthouse.

Books: Recently read The Hunger Games and I found that to be pretty fun read. Gaiman is a favorite author and What's the Matter with Kansas is easily one of my favorite political book. Political themed books are something I delve into often, meaning I read Atlas Shrugged (A struggle to get through), A People History of the United States and many greek works. Just finished Ready Player One, that was a fun read. Now starting the Song of Ice and Fire books (Yeah, I know, way late). Sometimes I do feel like I loose geek cred by not having read Enders Game butI do have a valid reason for not doing so, feel free to inquire.

Shows: DVR is constantly full but I just want to say that if you're not watching Community you're streets behind. Also Adventure Time is great times.

Music: Confession time: Music has never struck a chord with me (See what I did there?) Oh I listen to plenty, usually rock or anything with a good guitar riff and have a few favorite artists (Slash, K'Naan, Kirby Krackle, Adam Warrock) but if you would ask me to list a favorite song I would be lost. Upside is that I'm usually open to checking out any new music, so feel free to recommend some.

Podcasts are also pretty big for me. My Brother, My Brother and Me, Car Talk, This American Life (really most of NPR offering), Doug loves movies, Smodcast, Giantbombcast...I listen to a fair share of them.
The six things I could never do without
Ignoring the necessaties for living, as well as the usual friends/family/etc:

1)Someone to belay me while climbing
2)Shoes other than my work shoes (running, climbing)
3)An interesting board game
4)Challenges
5)Politics
6)Running
I spend a lot of time thinking about
If I was really The Empath who would be my arch nemesis.

How deceiving some yoga names are...." Bird of Paradise? Dancer? Half Pigeon? Oh those don't sound so bad..wait...I put my leg where?!"
On a typical Friday night I am
I tend to have a varied weekend life. Just these past few Fridays I have the following:
Kareoke
Rock Climbing
Visiting a local dive bar
Heading to a comic shop for happy hour and concert
Stayed in and caught up on The Walking Dead
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I dream of gathering individuals with diverse sets of skills and pulling off a heist that will put us all on easy street. This will naturally involve twist after surprising twist, fake accents, an explosion or two, and possibly the death of a gruff but kind mentor/father figure.

I don't enjoy taking on the phone. I love having conversations face to face or through text but just don't enjoy the phone. Talking to someone only without being able to see them or touch them? Sounds like a Jigsaw trap to me.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating

you smiled at least once while reading my profile.

You enjoy the idea of either hanging out at a bar drinking a few good beers, having a semi competitive board game night, or going out for a random hike.

I also tend to travel to Austin often to visit friends, so Im up for meeting more people from there.
