My self-summary
Last updated January 24th, 2014.

I'm Kevin. I'm a born Ravenclaw, and I try to be the level-headed one in the group. I'm both a stoic and an optimist. I might be pretty quiet when we first meet, but that'll change as I warm up to you.

You'd probably learn more about me in a couple quick messages than in a profile ten times longer. HINT HINT

Also, if you're new to OKC, take a look at this video. It's all pretty great advice:
What I’m doing with my life
I've recently taken a shine to working my new job at my local library, but I don't see myself working there for more than a few more years (shelving books is hard on the knees). I'm a bit directionless right now, but game development (especially being a producer) are sounding more and more like a desirable career path.

I like hanging with my nerdy friends, playing games and reading when I can. There isn't much I like to 'go out' for other than food or movies, but I'm open to pretty much anything with good company.

I can also sing with some proficiency; I'm part of the Seattle Men's Chorus! It's loads of fun.
I’m really good at
I'm not exactly remarkable, but my ego tells me I'm a pretty good critic and singer. Also, accepting criticism. If I'm being a dumbass, I expect you to call me out on it, so I can stop being a dumbass.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm usually too quiet the first time I meet someone; it's about all I can do just to keep the conversation from dying. But the more I get to know you, the easier it is.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
In no particular order...

Fahrenheit 451—Ray Bradbury
Anne of Green Gables—Lucy Maude Montgomery
Harry Potter series—JK Rowling
Catch-22—Joseph Heller
Wuthering Heights—Emily Brontë
Looking for Alaska—John Green
Les Misérables—Victor Hugo
Currently rereading Will Grayson Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan.

Up; The Princess Bride; West Side Story; Millennium Actress; The Avengers; Ever After; I Love You, Phillip Morris; The Sound of Music; Ragtime; Once...

Queen; Simon & Garfunkel; soundtracks from musicals; Cake; Death Cab for Cutie; Nobuo Uematsu; Chopin; Michael Jackson; ABBA; The Mighty Mighty Bosstones; The Mamas and the Papas; Janis Joplin; Scott Joplin and plenty more...

Current trends include Antichamber, TF2, and Shadow of Colossus. If the story is good or the flavor is unique, I'll give it a chance. I still haven't played some of the greats like Fire Emblem or Bioshock or Resident Evil, but I'm getting around to it. Same goes for movies and books, actually.

Those are always fun. I follow about 40 of them and someone seriously needs to hold an intervention. Favourites: Johnny Wander; Lackadaisy Cats; Girls with Slingshots; Hark! a Vagrant; XKCD; Dumbing of Age; O Human Star; The Less Than Epic Adventures of TJ and Amal, Tripping Over You, Junior Scientist Power Hour...
The six things I could never do without
I choose to answer this in the material sense. I don't want to be clichéd with the "Hydrogen, Oxygen etc." or the "Friends, Family etc." even though they are entirely true.

My glasses
The internet
A book
My jacket
Sheet music
My steel-toes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Trying to nail down my thoughts to one subject at a given moment is about as hard as keeping the wave on the shore.
On a typical Friday night I am
Couldn't say. Sometimes I'm working, sometimes with friends, surfing the web etc.

You never know, you might be there next Friday ;)
