My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm pretty certain I can shake my butt better than you, but I'm willing to be wrong about that. I've lived in Portland my entire life, with occasional stops elsewhere. I'm passionate about food, the arts, and my friends. My front teeth aren't mine, I'm opinionated about fruit, and I've been known to stand on my head while tipsy.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Graduated with an art degree, but I have no misconceptions about that becoming a career. Instead, I hope for creativity to be something that continues to inspire me to get off my butt and do something interesting. Unfortunately, that doesn't pay the bills. I love cooking, so that's what I do. I'm a cook at an old and well loved gastropub here in Portland. I teach martial arts at a small, family-run school, which is a labor of love. I am finally beginning to feel competitive at ping pong, which is both a silly pursuit, and the most fun you can possibly have at a bar with friends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Mincing garlic, making t-shirts, being kind, booty-shaking competitions, laughing, head kicks, and eating food.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've been told that I am more well mannered than other men my age.

I read nerd books: Neal Stephenson, Lois McMaster Bujold, Tolkien, encyclopedias, etc. I learned to read with Tintin comic books.

Favorite movies: Tampopo, A Taste of Tea, Amelie, Seven Samurai, Drunken Master, Royal Tenenbaums, Studio Ghibli joints, Akira Kurosawa, Wes Anderson, and on and on

TV: Anything David Attenborough, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation.

I am a food fiend. I love all foodstuffs. Except the things I don't like. Those things are gross. Notably I enjoy: noodles/pasta, rice, veggies, charcuterie, low and slow cooked meats, and raw fruit. I enjoy cooking Japanese, Chinese, French, and Italian. I've recently been obsessed with Southeast Asian cuisine, notably Vietnamese.
