I will ruin your bad mood.

For a while now I have been compiling a list of things that make me genuinely happy. Then, actively trying to do at least three (+) of those things daily.
Currently the list includes:
-dancing in a crowd
-using punctuation in correct and innovative ways
-making mix TAPES (yes i mean cassette) that impress
-loving like it could change the world
-wearing an apron and heels (i.e. bringing sexy back to the kitchen)
-hitting tennis balls. hard.
- live music
-chatting about politics
-DIY costume making (i do judge people based solely on their Halloween ensembles)
-walking faster than you
-reading titles that catch your (read: cute boys) attention
-skipping rocks
-playing with other people's dogs &/or children
-imagining societies that are radically different from our own
-swinging on swing sets

letting people talk about themselves.
drinking whiskey straight.
judging people based on their shoes.
hippy chicken. (if you don't know, i will teach you. if you do know... you have been challenged.)
making people smile, even when they are tying really hard not to. (fellow muni riders, you know who you are.)

the volume of my ipod.
my indiscriminate smile.
flowers in my hair/ hands/ general attire.

my favorite book of all time is Just a Couple of Days by Tony Vigorito. Other favorites include The Alchemist, Be Here Now, The Art of Loving, Still Life with Woodpecker, The Revolution Will Not Be Funded, The Ethical Slut, The Shock Doctrine, Too Much Happiness. Also, i'm a sucker for modern political theory, unfortunately (or fortunately) because i was required/ actively chose to study a lot of it during my undergrad.

music has a way of making me inexplicably happy, and i am a better person because of it. music is my mediator and also frequently my time machine. if it makes you wanna sing/dance/shout/cry/kiss the person next to you, then i will probably dig it.
