I am a father of two boys who are the most active, demanding, rewarding and loving people I've ever met. They are truly unique.
I work in a one-of-a-kind position that combines pure science, engineering, computers, real estate, law, and public relations. I get to travel some so flexibility in scheduling is nice. Most days I love my job.
I enjoy working out, especially weights and elliptical. I'll never be a runner, but there are other cardio options. My history includes home improvement projects and decorating. In a past life I gutted a house and completely rebuilt it and have done a number of "smaller" projects ranging from painting and refinishing hardwood floors to replacing bathtubs and kitchen cabinets.
As anyone else I like to relax, too. I find cooking theraputic. I like to relax and watch a movie or unwind to some TV. My favorite genres are action-adventure, drama, and comedy. I like rom-com (chick-flicks) but watching them alone reminds me I am alone. And I like scary, but not gratuitusly gory. I've gotten into "The Following" and "The Mentalist".
I tend to stay busy but want someone I can be busy with; OR choose not to be busy with. I want someone who I can trust completely, trusts me the same, will converse about our lives. She must be willing to accept my two boys (shouldn't be too hard, they're wonderful). You also have to get my somewhat sarcastic humor.
I can be quiet initially, always had people refer to me as the "strong silent type". That is true, to an extent, but when I open up, I will tell you anything and give you my opinion (gently).
My ideal match would share some interests, be understanding in our differences, be able to teach me things and willing to learn from me. I love to teach and share things I'm passionate about; for instance I get to travel a lot to schools to teach them about what I do. There's nothing quite like the lightbulb going off to help you realize you make a difference.
Speaking of differences... I've found a lot of you turned off that I am "Conservative" in my politics. I am. However, I prefer to say "Libertarian" because in this great country, we should be able to do as we please as long as we can support it. I could really care less what others do, just don't hurt anyone else with it!
I have a few (very few) pictures of myself. I prefer to live the experience as opposed to taking large numbers of pictures. A picture shows the beauty of the sunrise, but misses the dampness of the air, the fragrance of the flowers, the sound of birds chirping, or the lingering taste of whatever I desire. That is in my head and I love the whole experience.
If you're still reading this and think I sounds interesting, let me know. I've been told I'm interesting before, but then again that can be a negative.
