I have a knack for making people smile, reading Tarot, and thinly slicing zucchini. I grew-up in Wisconsin, lived in Michigan for three years and have been in Minneapolis for a year. My favorite color is indigo and I don't like wearing socks or any clothing for that matter...except men's boxer briefs.

I'm the type of girl you can have philosophical conversations with while we color in coloring books or play with my Lite-Brite. Having a healthy balance of silly and serious. When asked if I'm more of a morning or night person, I say that I'm an all day person but that each day varies. I like to set and achieve goals. I'm working on my Mission 101: accomplishing 101 goals in 1,001 days. It's been challenging and rewarding.

For several years I didn't like that I was known as "the thoughtful one" among friends and girls I had crushes on. I've now embraced "thoughtful" as I've come to realize that some people pay very little to the details that sometimes make all the difference. I might not remember everything, but I'll remember what you ate on our first date, if you liked it and if you did, I'd try my best to re-create it somewhere down the line.

I'm polyamorous and am currently in a long-distance relationship. I'm interested in going out or staying in, serenading a sweetie with the silly songs that get stuck in my head, catching snowflakes on my tongue while twirling around, letting winter surround me. Though I have been living in Minneapolis for a year now, I'm not as connected to the GLBT (what are all the other letters in the acronym?) community as I'd like to be. Since I don't really care for the bar scene, I fear that I'm only getting noticed by my barista, which isn't a bad thing, but I think you get the idea.

Oh...and I had a previous okcupid account lovelylinguist awhile back...so if you recognize my face, that's probably why...or it's because you've seen me around somewhere and for whatever reason we didn't get a chance to chat. If that's the case, we need to remedy the situation.

I collect words, work retail, and I cook and bake. I get through each day with some upbeat music, affirmations, Lush Cosmetics and usually a little caffeine.

Bath cocktailing, making bubble beards, blowing bubbles, rambling, listening, sitting still, baking cheesecakes. I can rattle-off etymologies of interesting words and common phrases in the English language.

My hair (whatever it happens to be doing that day(, my vibrant smile, and my frequent use of "eeeeeeee!" when I'm excited.

I like young adult novels, memoirs, self-improvement books and nearly anything that isn't a textbook. Some favorites include: Eat, Pray, Love, Angels and Demons, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Fingersmith, Tipping the Velvet, This Lullaby, Running With Scissors, The Velveteen Rabbit

I love romantic comedies, comedies in general and drama. I'll always love: The Princess Bride, Moulin Rouge!, You've Got Mail, Lars and the Real Girl

My music taste consists mostly of indie/alternative/soft rock stuff like: Rachael Yamagata, The Weepies, Mason Jennings, Damien Rice, Bon Iver, Uh Huh Her, Joshua Radin, John Mayer but every now and again I like to cleanse my musical palate and listen to some classic rock: Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC. Guilty pleasure: Taylor Swift

I like carbs. Pomegranates are probably the most delicious things ever. Baking cheesecakes is a fun pastime; though abstaining from eating cheesecake is something on my Mission 101 list, I'll still bake one anytime as long as there are people to devour it.

A journal and pen, forehead kisses, keeping in touch with Gramma, moisturizer, good climbing trees, and fresh produce.
