My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Eric. I was born in Colorado and never realized how much I missed the mountains until I left the CO, although I do wish we had an ocean. I graduated from CU Boulder with a BA in Economics and a BA in History and Anthropology. I'm hoping to go to graduate school for Anthropology and Public Administration one day soon. I work a lot, like 60 hours a week, so I don't have a lot of down time, hence the reason I'm on here.

When I'm not working, I like to watch and play sports, hang out with family and friends, and pursue whatever endeavor comes to mind. I'm very laid back in my demeanor but incredibly passionate about issues that are important to me such as politics and economics. I'm a democratic socialist, so if that in some way offends you, chances are we won't get along. That being said, I'm a very understanding person and I try to find value and insight in all ideas and people. If you think that money and superficiality is what is important in life then I can almost certainly say we won't get along.

I love sports and my favorites are hockey, football, and baseball. My favorite teams in those respective sports are the Penguins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Colorado Rockies, so if you like or can tolerate any of those, chances are we'll get along just fine. I try to attend as many games as possible. I'm always listening to music and I like most types. I listen mostly to classic rock, hip hop, reggae, and blues. I enjoy going to shows whenever possible, unfortunately as I've gotten older I don't seem to have as much time with the grind and all.

Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I realized years ago that dreams require capital, so I'm working away trying to make my dreams reality.

My eyes, they change colors from gray to blue to green depending on how I feel. I also have a butt chin. I'm sure people notice that right?

Music: I like songs from almost every type of music. My favorite types of music I guess would have to be Hip-hop and Classic Rock. Favorite Bands and Artists: Nirvana, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Tom Petty, Joshua James, Bob Marley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimmy Hendrix, The Roots, Swollen Members, Sam Cooke, The Airborne Toxic Event, One Be Lo, The Gaslight Anthem, Dilated Peoples, Swollen Members, Jurassic 5, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Slightly Stoopid, Sublime, Audioslave, Mumford & Sons, Jack Johnson, and so many more it's quite ridiculous. I like to make lists with my music like John Cusack's chararacter in High Fidelity.

Books: To Kill a Mocking Bird, 1984, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Anything by Dickens, Der Erlkönig (not a book but still one of my favorite pieces of literature to read), Ace on the River, The Affluent Society and everything else by John Kenneth Galbraith, Thorstein Veblen's books, history books (can't get enough), Shakespeare, and many more. I read a lot, mostly nonfiction. I'm always looking to find new books to read so feel free to recommend any you think are worth reading.

Food: Italian, Middle Eastern, Asian, Mexican, American, Indian, and so on; I like all types of food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
family, friends, my cats, music, good food, and dreams (this isn't the sleep time variety but rather the hopes and ambitions kind)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What to do with my life? Social Capital! Poker odds, step progression, risk analysis, and game theory. Why life is so hard for so many around the world? Economic growth, inequality, sustainable growth, and environmental economics.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, giving it all to Sallie Mae.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really like women that are more intelligent than I am. I want to find my Beauvoir.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you're any of these:

you know what you want and you think that might be me.
you can hold an intelligent conversation.
you're 420 friendly.
you like poker and would like to play sometime.
you want to.

Also I really don't understand why women don't respond to the hi how are you? introduction message. I know that it's not creative, but think of it from my perspective, if I create a good introduction and it doesn't get responded to, what incentive do I have to keep doing it? Fact is 90% of women don't respond on this site. If you really are interested in talking to me you'll do just that, not wait for the perfect first message that probably will never come, especially as I can't read minds and hardly know what women want.
