I am intelligent, and mature for my age in many respects, but I like to enjoy myself and act like a kid when the moment calls for it.

I'm currently volunteering regularly throughout the week, and working toward being able to do some part-time work for pay and start taking classes again in January. I was a voice and music education major at Butler before being forced to take a medical leave of absence from school, and I'll likely focus on ethnomusicology in my future studies.

I am a singer, and I enjoy writing music and literature. I have done some writing that I had originally planned to use in a nonfiction book based around on my life experiences, nature, and music, but I've begun to use these ideas more for articles and other projects instead. I've also written some fictional narratives related to human/civil rights.

It certainly remains to be seen what may happen next, my life could take any direction, but the flexibility and openness of it is exciting!

BOOKS: Non-fiction books, especially ones about music and human rights. As much as I enjoy fiction, I tend to enjoy it too much and constantly overthink the themes, symbolism, metaphors, etc., and ultimately read the books extremely slowly while my mind is exhausted quickly.

MUSIC: Motown/soul music and jazz, but I am a fan of every kind of music from "classical" to hip-hop and everything in-between.

TV: The Wire, the Daily Show, the Colbert Report, Treme, Arrested Development, 30 Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Weeds, Breaking Bad, South Park

I am open about EVERYTHING in my life. There is no question too personal, so just ask, and if for some crazy reason I don't feel like answering it, I will just respectfully tell you that and then thank you for being curious enough about me and feeling comfortable enough with me to ask!

This isn't really private, but it often surprises people that I've never dated any white women. I'm attracted to women of all colors and ethnicities, including white, but for some reason I've connected better with women who have different ethnic backgrounds than I do.

I am very open sexually and love to have fun, but sex is certainly not a breaking point for the development of a strong connection with another person, in any form.
