I love lamp.

Practical to a fault. Like, I only wears scarves when it's cold outside.. Uncultured but, worldly, I guess that makes me unhip... whatevs.. I'm flawed, what can I say?

Loving the life I have, and dreaming big. I like to find the humor in our humanity, and to make light of subjects that mean so much to some of us. I'm always working toward self-improvement. I try not to make excuses for myself or my behavior but, rather apologize and move forward or, better yet;.. laugh about it. :)

Art, music, word-smithery, and photography are the
things that interest and motivate me. I find myself drawn to the dark and macabre but, in an optimistic way y'know?

I find humor in almost everything... I don't like theatrics or
mind-games. I'm somewhat old-fashioned; I like to open doors for people, bring flowers, say please and thank you, etc...

I've been told quite a few times that I'm an "old soul". I don't
believe that chivalry is dead.. whatever that means.

I'm not a "label wearer", (not easy to classify).. I reject conformity... I consider myself a 'rationalist', I appreciate repeatable results.

Exploring the human condition.

Learning to love every moment; large and small and in-between.

Cooking, laundry, cleaning house, helping with homework, etc. I'm a hands-on dad and that dominates most of my time.
I would like to unleash some well-adjusted human beings on the
world so, being a dad is priority one.

Putting my foot in my mouth. I whistle fairly well. I'm quick on
the uptake. I'm a good driver (seriously, no tickets or
accidents).

I cook almost every day, I rarely get any complaints.

Mixing audio.

My height and probably my earrings. I'm also rather shy, usually referred to as "the quiet guy" whenever I'm in a social setting (although that has improved). Maybe my lack of social grace or my good manners, I don't really know what other people notice about me and I'm not vain enough to ask.... does make you wonder though.

lately, I'd be willing to bet that it's my beard/moustache..

I like all that stuff you like and probably some stuff you don't...
the things I enjoy are just amusements, they do not define
me..

With that caveat in mind: I am an avid reader, movie aficionado ,
music lover, and also a budget gourmet.

Some favorite movies: Sunshine Cleaning, I Heart Huckabees, Eternal Sunshine.., A Scanner Darkly, Fight Club, Natural Born Killers, Wes Anderson, Garden State, Kevin Smith Movies, Adam Sandler Films, classic and new horror flicks... this list could become ridiculous so, I'll stop there.

I love music almost as much as I love my kids.. Some favorite music: Foo Fighters. The Avett Brothers, NIN, Tool, The Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Regina Spektor, Industrial and E.B.M., Die Antwoord, Classic Rock, Frank Black and the Pixies, big band stuff, swing and even some classical... just like my movie list, I could go on and on, suffice to say my taste is eclectic.

Food?, I'm not picky... seriously, I love to eat :)

Anything that sparks my interest.. lately that's philosophy
(including George Carlin) and books about evolution. Science Fiction too... Books are awesome.

And Reddit.. I probably shouldn't have added this as an afterthought, as I spend quite a lot of my free time there.

Lately I find I've become kind of attached to my i-pod and computer
but, I could easily live without them.

I'm far more interested in other human beings than I am with
"stuff".

Life, the universe, everything...

Self improvement.

What motivates people to do the things they do? What motivates me to do the things I do?

I sometimes ponder the usefulness of my own existence in relation to my association with others (friends, family, total strangers, inanimate objects, animals, etc.).

I often wonder whether I am enriching the lives of those around me or if mine is a passing influence, forgotten moments later...
Improving the lives of others..... I've been told on more than one
occasion that I think too much :)

Home alone watching a movie or surfing the internet. Possibly visiting with friends. I'm not into the club or bar scene unless I'm working there.

If I've looked at your profile a lot, it's probably because you're an awesomely righteous human being..Sometimes I'm completely oblivious...

I'm not a sports fan.. I know that seems strange to a lot of you but, I just wasn't brought up to give a shit about sports.

I'm mostly guileless but, don't underestimate me either.

I'm not always 'sunshine and rainbows' but, I do try to look on the bright side of life (as it were)...
