My self-summary
I like to question and discuss things, this is a warning :P
What I’m doing with my life
Rethinking what I want to make of it.

Last few years I programmed some big name apps, but I do not feel like I really added any value in yet another BS app. Interesting projects keeps getting in the way of finishing my MSc Computer Science.
Last months (Feb. 2014-Apr. 2014) I've been working with a friend to visualize tons of information on maps for non profit organizations (left wing political party, labor union, etc.). Although these projects don't earn that much money as before, it's new / interesting and very satisfying.

Radical change, self improvement, DIY.
The first things people usually notice about me
..? Before I open my mouth people tend to think I'm 18-21.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading
Mostly educational/work related and other random philosophical or science work.

Movies
I found Jagten impressive. I have to admit I suppress a fondness for romantic drama / comedy. I totally love movies like Jeux d'enfants and Buddy.

Shows
Mostly news/docu related. I'm a news junky, although I'm on rehab.
I still like simple stuff like Shaun The Sheep too :)

Music
Stuff like e.s.t., Ólafur Arnalds, Ludovico Einaudi, Roberto Cacciapaglia, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Philip Glass but also more 'indie' music (independent music, which can be anything), there is a nice monthly playlist called Indie Rock Playlist. Two years ago I 'discovered' the Amsterdam concert hall, I love going there, but I also like small unorganized festivals / venues with non-classical music (I still mainly listen to random indie music).

Food
I'm about 10 years vegan (omnivore the years before). I try to be less dogmatic about (these kind of) things, although change is hard, I've not yet eaten meat lately.
The six things I could never do without
In the end it's all about survival. In the current economy that just means a stack of plastic cards, phone and my keys.

I always think I can go without computer or phone, but the reality is I'm pretty addicted. I became a bit scared how happy I was when my laptop was fixed on a vacation (hooray for Lenovo worldwide support, replacing my mainboard in a SF Starbucks), it's ridiculous. I'm trying a Slow Tech diet, no phone email notifications etc., but it's pretty hard for a computer nerd.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. How things are broken; Politics; Meaning; The World; Life; Concepts; User Interface; Design.

Most of the times I seem to notice and question things nobody else is paying attention to. It's very hard for me to shut off my head, or stop observing, drinking alcohol party works.
On a typical Friday night I am
If my Friday nights will become more stable I will write it down here.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I hacked the social housing system to get an appartment, I'm not kidding.
