Welcome! I originally hail from the Pacific NW (Seattle) and moved to Houston in November via Illinois and Ohio. I am still finding my way around the area, but I like what I've seen so far!

I love to travel and try new things (so typical, I know). Last year I went to London, Paris, and Barcelona with some college friends and this year I hope to do a little solo traveling. In the past I have tried zip-lining and sky-diving. It would be awesome to try parasailing or hot-air ballooning in the near future.

What I’m doing with my life

Selling steel. I am a sales engineer based in Houston. I do get to travel a little bit through work. It's a very dynamic job and I have a lot to learn about steel, oil and gas. In the next 5 years I hope to start my MBA.

Excel and powerpoint (my coworkers always ask me how to do things), planning, and smiling =)

That I'm asian? I somehow always end up being the "token asian" in the group.

Books/Authors: How to Win Friends and Influence People (great book for any professional seeking to build relationships), Freakonomics, Blink, Enders Game, Twilight, David Sedaris, George RR Martin

Movies: Boondock Saints, Howl's Moving Castle, Bollywood (there is some hilarious stuff out there), Blades of Glory, Mean Girls, The Notebook

TV: Heroes, The Office, My Boys, Big Bang Theory, So You Think You Can Dance, Project Runway

Music: I pretty much like everything except really twangy country and hardcore rap.

Food: Chinese, Japanese, Mediterranean, and Indian. I like to think I'm pretty daring with food and I enjoy trying new places.

Doing anything and everything. I have been very fortunate to find several great groups of people in Houston. I think I can honestly say that I go to a new bar or restaurant every week, there are so many here! I enjoy going out on the town as much as staying in with a movie or just chatting at a coffeeshop.

I started reading Twilight and now I am completely addicted. It's shameful!
