I am at my computer, with Radiolab on, and eating peanut butter.
My Self-Summary
Let's see, I am a pretty motivated designer that would like to meet
people equally motivated in their chosen field.
Drawing,
travel,
books,
music and
not having a working TV
are some of my favorite things. I live near a beautiful park and
like to spend most of my free time there either on
picnics or
watching other
people play sports.
Boardgames &
science are rad too.
Deal-breakers: flip flops, kelly green t-shirts, and cats (plural).
What I’m doing with my life
Working full time as a brand/packaging designer.
While this keeps me pretty busy, I still make time for good
friends, occasional drinks and excellent adventures.
I’m really good at
killing plants. I try so hard, but they never last long. It's a
shame really.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books
I really enjoyed Waiting for the Barbarians by J.M.Coetzee - pretty
gruesome though.
Murakami, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Cormac McCarthy are pretty
wonderful.
I am currently reading Cheever.
Movies
Roman Holiday, Casablanca, I Heart Huckabees, Blue Velvet, Kill
Bill, Seven Up, Grey Gardens, & Terminator 2.
Music
Belle and Sebastian, Smog/Bill, Otis Redding, old Bowie, Modern
Lovers, Pavement, the Microphones, Neutral Milk Hotel, Rod Stewart,
Grizzly Bear & I have a crazy soft spot for hip hop, jazz &
instrumental (all sorts really).
Food
Food is the best. Seriously.
I recently started eating meat again, and I'm not sure how I lived
my life without burgers for so long. Wine, cheese, brussel sprouts,
cookies, pretty much anything...except encased meats. That's one
thing I can't get in to.
The six things I could never do without
Art, Coffee, Music, Technology, Healthy competition & Awkward
interactions.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future (in a sci-fi way).
You should message me if
You're a smart-ish person that isn't afraid to show your awkward
side.
Really excited about life, but with a healthy balance of adventure
and downtime.
Happy with where you are, but always looking for ways to
improve.
A bit of confidence (without being a know-it-all) never hurt.
