My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I start this off with full recognition that you will probably fall in love with my dog before me. That's fine, I've come to accept it. I rest assured in the fact that at least you have to go through me to get to him.

Rural PA native enjoying the access to...really all the things that a city has to offer. I love to cook and do so almost every night. Occasionally competing in mini Master Chef-inspired competitions with a good friend. We're 1-1. Have a degree in music so huge nerd, enjoying everything from an evening at the Kennedy Center to live band karaoke.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Arts consulting, walking my dog, exploring the city. Enjoy visits to museums, seeing shows, binging Netflix, cooking, etc. Also have huge respect for a well-crafted cocktail.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Assembling IKEA furniture. I love it, like really. Need something built? Also streaming anything from NPR.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My uninhibited masculinity? Nope, probably eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Love to cook, but somehow I have a distaste for what others absolutely love (tomatoes, avocados, etc.) but at least am willing to admit that I am wrong about these and you are all right. Be grateful...I'm not going to take the good ones at the grocery store!

I read a lot of nonfiction but, as a recent grad school graduate, would love some fiction recommendations!

Music: Arctic Monkeys, Frank Sinatra, Pentatonix, Trombone Shorty, Billy Joel, Gin Wigmore, etc. Classical music too. I studied music in college, so it happens.

Shows: The West Wing, House of Cards, Sherlock, Friday Night Lights, How I Met Your Mother, open to suggestions...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
New karaoke songs. If you go regularly ya gotta have a collection of go-tos.

How someone can possibly not support use of the Oxford Comma! (I will fight you on this)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably starts with cooking dinner, then either out around 14th & U or having a low-key night of grilling and beer on my patio with friends and/or my dog. Occasionally out doing something cultured too like seeing a concert or play, then going to a bar. Not the biggest partier out there but still like the occasional night of drinking, karaoke, trivia, dancing, whatever.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
In high school I used to go see Rocky Horror Picture Show every year with friends...and dressed up for it. There are pictures somewhere and someday they will come back to haunt me.

Also that my celebrity crush is Olivia Newton John from Grease. Now that I think about it, I'm not embarrassed about that at all.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're witty, like debating and sarcasm, and enjoy learning and good conversation. And if you have some sass. Nothing wrong with some fun teasing. Or if I've visited your profile a lot. Visiting profiles is sort of my way of flirting...meaning I haven't really moved past the 4yr old level of flirting by pushing a girl over in the sandbox.
