My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
First of all, I am probably the most unique man you will ever meet. I'm definitely not your run of the mill guy. I am fairly active and am also fairly casual, meaning, since I live by the beach, I am generally in shorts, sandals, and a short-sleeved shirt. In my former life, I wore a suit and tie to the office every day, yuck, never want to do that again (although I do still know how to get dressed up on a special occasion). I am a self-employed businessman and operate a few (very different) businesses. I have my own small wholesale merchandise company, and also am in insurance sales and real estate investing.

I am a very affectionate and touchy-feely guy and look for the same in a woman, but I'm not looking to just get laid either. I'm looking for a friend, companion, lover and confidant, all rolled into one fun-sized package ;-)

I am an animal lover, and seem to have become the dog rescuer of my neighborhood. If I see a dog roaming the streets, I will drop whatever I am doing and help them find their way back to their rightful (albeit negligent) owners. And if they have been abandoned and their owners are nowhere to be found, rather than take them to the death-sentence aka the county animal shelter, more than once I have uttered the words "welcome home" :-)

I am more sensitive than most men you will meet. And that's not to be confused with being weak or wimpy, but it simply means that I am a passionate, romantic, man and I very much enjoy sharing time, ideas, events, and sensuality with that special someone, as well as mutual affection. I have been told I am in touch with my feminine side (although I've never liked the way that sounded lol) and I love hugs, cuddling, kissing, and very much enjoy touching and being touched. I LOVE giving and receiving affection, and not even necessarily in a sexual way. That simple shoulder rub, the touch on the arm, coming up from behind you (of course after we get to know each other, otherwise that makes me sound like an attacker lol) and slipping my arm around your waist and giving you a nice hug to let you know I like being near you ;-). I love those little things and value their importance much more than most men you will meet :-)

A few more items of interest:

I believe kissing is an artform and should be treated as such (hint: I’ve also been told I’m pretty good - no, actually, really good at it, but that will be for you to judge) ;-)

I tend to talk more than most men you will meet (as if you couldn't already guess that lol)

I tend to remember things that most men don't e.g. important dates, what you were wearing the first time we met, etc. (I told you I'm sensitive ;-))

As mentioned above, I love animals of all types, especially dogs. I will drop what I am doing and go out of my way to save a dog that is loose and running around the streets (they don't do well in traffic!) and help them find their way back home, or in some cases, end up welcoming them into my home.

Regarding interests, I sing and play guitar and also sing in a barbershop chorus (a bunch of old guys and me – and also in a quartet within the chorus – hey, we ROCK! Lol). I also enjoy watching and playing (in no particular order): baseball, volleyball, football, golf. I also enjoy bike riding (and I will do so just as soon as I get mine fixed :-))and running on occasion, including walking/running with my dogs.

I would like you to know that I am a sensual man, and that also includes being sexually-minded man, and at times that includes my sense of humor, which sometimes can be incorrectly interpreted as me being a horn dog, player, etc. of which I am neither (ok, well at least I'm not a player - I think it's pretty much accepted that all guys are horn dogs lol) as, unlike most men, I'm not looking to get laid every chance I get, We all know that being sexual is a natural part of being human, but, as for me anyway, that doesn't mean I am looking to jump in bed with every woman I meet. Not at all. In fact, quite the contrary. I believe that sex should be between 2 people in a mutually monogamous relationship. You don't hear many men say that and mean it, do you? Now, as for kissing and whatever may go along with it, well, that can be a completely different story...........:-)

If any of the above interests you, I look forward to hearing from you :-)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am an entrepreneur. As stated above, I own and operate my own businesses, and also contract to other business owners who need my help. My businesses cover several different fields including insurance, real estate, wholesale merchandise. So yes, I suppose you could say I believe in diversification. Either that or I can't decide what I want to be when I grow up :-)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. Omg I've lost track of the times I've messed something up with a smart ass comment of some sort lol. But deep down I'm really a nice, sensitive guy, if not just a little rough around the edges :-). Sometimes my sarcastic sense of humor overwhelms people. I'm sooooo misunderstood!! lol
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, my extremely dry sense of humor (that's the most refined type, right?) :-), my voice, my large hands (hey you know what they say) ;-)

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love and affection

(Wait, those are all things no dog or cat should be without - well I guess it applies to humans as well) ;-)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why if I wear a size 7 1/4 hat and a size 16 collar shirt I can't slip my shirt over my head without having to unbutton the collar. You know, the important stuff :-)

Also, if Ok Cupid could make those thumbnails any smaller on the "Who saw you recently" section. Good grief...........
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My Friday evening tradition usually involves having Mexican food for dinner, either at my current favorite place or making it at home. Yum!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There are 5 separate parts in It's a Wonderful Life that bring me near tears, every time, no matter how many times I've watched it. Part of the reason it's one of my favorite movies of all time.

You enjoy watching porn on occasion............GOTCHA! Just wanted to see if you got this far :-)

Actually, if you don't have a 3rd eye in the middle of your forehead and you can't beat me in arm wrestling. Other than that, I'm pretty much open :-)

Oh and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be fluent in word usage. This includes, but is not limited to, the misuse/inappropriate usage of "they're, there, their", "you're and your", "to & too" (really???? egads people!) "than and then", etc. Come on people, we learned that stuff in 5th grade for crying out loud!!
