My self-summary
Looking for someone who makes me want to become a better person for them. Someone to share things with at the end of the day. Someone I could talk to for hours and not be bored. Someone I can be proud of, not just for her appearance, but because of the person who she is. Someone who will travel the world with me, take long walks with me, or curl up at home on the sofa in front of the TV with me. Someone I can rely on, and who can rely on me in turn.
What I’m doing with my life
I manage teams of engineers all over the world. It is a challenging job which I enjoy a lot. My days can be kind of hectic sometimes because of all the time zones, but I do take plenty of time out to have fun, because also I like to enjoy my life.

I stay in shape so that I can do the activities that I like: skiing, surfing, scuba-diving.
I’m really good at
Staying calm when things come crashing down around me.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: These days I tend to read non-fiction. But I have read lots of stuff, everything from Hemingway to Kurt Vonnegut to Tolstoy.

Music: I think I appreciate a wider range of music than most people do. On any given day, I might be listening to classical or jazz, or I might be tuned into a pop rock Internet station.
I like good voices. For example: Patsy Cline's stuff from the 1950's; Edith Piaf; Doris Day; Amy Winehouse.

Movies: I like to go to the movies, but for me going to the movies is more of a chance to get together with friends, so I generally watch whatever is playing.

TV: I don't watch much television. If it weren't for streaming Netflix, I would probably miss everything I would be interested in seeing.

Museums: I like to visit art museums. I have probably been to just about every major museum in the U.S. and Europe by now.
The six things I could never do without
My laptop
Organic food
My passport
My morning caffeine
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever the crisis of the day is. But I take it all in stride.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully out and about.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I miss the East Coast sometimes. I'll never move back there, but it is still a part of me. The way the landscape erupts in deep, rich shades of green in the springtime; the warm, humid summer nights, with the sky full of fireflies; that gentle rushing of air before a thunderstorm, and the relief from the humidity that the rain brings.
You should message me if
You want to meet a fun guy--solid, responsible, but not too serious--who might just knock your socks off.
