**After meeting some people, it seems as though some profile revision is in order. Generally, people seem (pleasantly) surprised by the flesh and blood version of me. I get a lot of, "I didn't figure you for being interested in that."
I've found that my good points seem to be situational, that being they don't come up until they come up, (Not being pervy...unless you found that bit funny, then as you were, I believe we'll get on well), assuredly, it's not as though I sit around thinking, listing, and boasting my favorite things about myself. Such is the fun of meeting new people I suppose... the sweet surprises!**
First off... simplicity-- craving it.
Not to say you should be simple, by all means have deep complexity, however, I've managed to maintain a drama-free life and would like very much if it remained as such.
Do you like food? Good, so do I...music too! Hopefully you might enjoy a GOOD beer or two...or at the very least not Coors. Show me your favorite spots to enjoy both, but be prepared to carry on a conversation. Want to get away from the hectic crowds and skip stones in the river? Hey that's funny, so do I. Truth is when I'm not at work I'm a bit of a goof (I've been finding recently that my sense of humor is..sillier..than I had thought)...the bigger truth is I will occasionally start dance parties in the garage.
In summary, I'm optimistically open. If there's a spark, great!
Someone came up with, what I think, is a fairly good description of myself. A 'regular joe' with a really open mind (Let's explore that a bit, shall we?) Let's get this out in the open, I am a mechanic, and at first glance I very much come off as one. Though I love what I do, it is not the definition of who I am. After all, there are not a great many garages with Chopin gently flowing out, punctuated by the gnawing staccato of pneumatic tools, at least not in my experience. Given my profession, you'd be forgiven for thinking my diet would be akin to that of a large feline predator, and I'd expect the same of my company. Not the case however, in fact I would welcome the challenge of cooking vegan for someone...wink, wink, nod. Admittedly, I am very into motorsports, but I wouldn't bore you with it if you weren't. Rest assured I am no NASCAR fan ( oh, I would never). Mostly, my interest stems from the technical aspect, and while it may not be everyone's cup, some of it is rather interesting, and I like to think I explain it well.
Which brings me to the sciences..oh, the sweet, dear sciences...
Always thinking about the physics behind my work keeps my mind agile. Physics of course being the sexy science. Physics nerds, please apply and watch me melt! Biology ( my degree) being the romantic science...if you really think about it, form following function and all that. Yes, I COULD talk for hours on it. Chemistry, well chemistry... beg pardon of all the darling chemists out there, I'm sure you're quite lovely, it's just not exactly my bag, though I'd like to learn. In fact, I'd love to learn, if it completely up to me I'd learn ALL the things...specialization is for insects. Very much like a certain ogre, I've got layers, like an onion ( or a shallot, if you prefer, I know I do).
Ah, but I can write a bit, can't I? I tend to go on a little, but I did want to portray a more well rounded view of myself, turns out it's a bit more honest, which is best. And if I am to be honest about who I am looking for, it will sound pretty cheesy, but honestly someone sweet who inspires me to do nice things for them, ( within reason...I work on Nissans not Veyrons) maybe you have a mouse in your kitchen, a leaky faucet, or a stalker that needs to convinced to move out of state...or perhaps macaroni jewelry is to your liking?
Oh, and please don't be afraid of motorcycles, I'm already over driving in this area, it is maddening at the very least.
