My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been living in San Jose for a while now, I've finally begun to set down roots here and find out what I like about it. I'm down with art walks, downtown coffee runs, helping throw house parties, heading to Santa Cruz for renegades, and exploring the Bay Area. I try to keep busy but I relax with movies, music, and video games. The best time for me is spent traveling. I love nature, I mean I grew up in Tahoe, how could I not? So often I like to get away and take a hike. Or get to SF and do some urban exporation and try to find some trouble. I'm very laid back and open minded. I like talking about politics and religion, social anthropology and other big picture concepts. I have a uniqe background and have gone to great lengths to find myself, I like sharing my stories with others and listening to theirs.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm been discovering a career path that attracted me while going to City College, why pay the big bucks when you aren't quite sure what you would be happy with right? Finally I've realized that I would be able to really dive deep into a career in Public Realations. I've found motivation through a desire to bring to light political and cultural inequity in America so I'm actually excited to be going to school again. For the first time since freshman year I think!

Outside of school and work I like to take on projects and help friends with theirs. Communal DIY type stuff. I'm hoping I can meet people on here that are down to build their own experiences.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well not too many guys are can pull off braids like me, so I would imagine that's among the top things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Beat Literature (Ginsberg, Keroauc, Cassady, Burroughs) Oscar Wilde, Aldous Huxley, His Dark Materials. Charles Bukowski, The Electric Kool Aid Acid Trip. I love Hunter S Thompson. Oh and Calvin and Hobbes!

Movies: Oh I love a good mind fuck movie! Like Terry Gilliam's stuff (Fear and Loathing, Brazil) or Waking Life. I really like Miyazaki films, Princess Mononoke is a favorite. Quentine Tarratino is rad. I love late 80's/early 90's NON DISNEY animated flicks like Heavy Metal, Rock and Rule, and Fern Gully. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Edward Norton and Jhonny Depp are all pretty cool. Honestly I watch a bunch of movies, but I generally don't enjoy GENERIC BLOCKBLUSTER PLOT 1-25

Shows: I really dig South Park, The Daily Show, and Colbert Report. Don't watch as much TV as I do Movies and I generally enjoy for TV comedies than dramas. House is cool I guess.

Music: Fuck I really can't list everything and I know you don't want to read it so let me just go from the top of my head.
-Stuff that makes me dance at raves and rave like events.
-Acid Jazz
-Hip Hop that ain't about bitches and hoes but rather about massive inequality, big problems in life, and human perseverance.
-Grunge/Psychedelic atonal garage jam bands
-Psychedelic 60's/70's rock
-NPR on the radio!!
-A whole bunch of other stuff.

Food: I try a lot of new stuff as often as I can and rarely go to the same place twice unless it's really great.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Computer- This is vital to my life as a student, I must connect to the internet hive-mind. It's also my TV, stereo, and musical instruement.

Guitar- I literally never have gone without one for about 8 years now. This summer while camping for a month or two in Tahoe it was my best companion actually.

Notepad- If I keep writing maybe one day I will be able to express an honest, ego-less thought, stream of consciousness style.

My Subaru- When traveling there is always a destination, even when you don't know where you want to go, the road will provide.

Friends- The human condition is hanging out and chatting with other humans.

Caffeine- At least if I want to feel alive before 10 in the morning. I also enjoy a good smoke.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Past Present and Future, putting on parties and traveling, living for the moment and planning for my path.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I use to have a bigger group of close friends before my recent move but when I'm with the right people I like to spontaneously go to the city, or santa cruz, or an art walk, or a hike, or camping, or jam. If I need to relax from a busy week I'm watching movies and playing guitar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a mixed history with a few chemicals. I own my experiences and realize how I became the great and empathetic person I am today. A lot of that is due to how I lost my path with dissociatives and forged a new one with the help of one great psychedelic summer in tahoe. The one aspect of me that is spiritual stems from this and I have quite a few interesting stories I like to share. I like some of the more alternative and "weird" experiences in life. :) In the best way possible!

You want to head downtown for an art walk, into the santa cruz area for a hike or a renegade, or kick it exploring SF or the rest of the bay area. I'm always down to catch a movie that you think we could share interest in and love the classic, coffee, dinner, and a movie date as well.
