My self-summary
Need to read the book
Before I will see the film;
Silly quirk of mine.

Four countries were home
In last four years, could say I'm
peripatetic.

(also, I like haikus)
What I’m doing with my life
***I've moved abroad again; temporarily/indefinitely*****

After six years abroad, I've just moved back to the States. So my life right now involves a lot of:

-getting lost without a smart phone while drunk;
-complaining that the NY subway is worse than the subway system of any other city I've been to (except maybe Glasgow);
-eating fantastically unhealthy, impossible-to-find-abroad American food (waffles! Kraft mac & cheese! bagels!)

There's no place like home!
I’m really good at
baking scones. And also eating them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A Song of Fire and Ice, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Remains of the Day, They Shall Know our Velocity, Slaughterhouse Five;

Star Wars, Harvey, Band of Brothers, Ferris Bueler's Day Off, The Life Aquatic, Tuvalu, The Fall, Old Boy, Hocus Pocus;

Arrested Development, Parks and Recreation, Moesha, Revenge, Green Wing, Black Books, Friday Night Lights and Friday Night Dinner;

Frightened Rabbit, Stravinsky, Earth Wind and Fire, Wonder Girls, Calle 13;

pho, bibimbap, sushi, sandwiches, and anything with mushrooms.
The six things I could never do without
A good pillow, a good book, high heels, brunch, colour vision, and sunny days.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-octopodes (they are truly magnificent beasts);
-the simple solutions to climate change, and why they will never happen;
-the ending of the book I read most recently, and why I always read books with ambiguous endings;
-what ingredients to pick up on the way home for dinner
On a typical Friday night I am
less drunk than Saturday morning.
