I disagree with the Rolling Stones, in that I believe you can always get what you want. Sometimes we want to be happy and fullfilled, and we get that. Sometimes we want to be isolated and despondant, and we get that. I'm trying to be better about understanding what I want.

right now I'm working full time and hacking my way slowly through a nursing degree.

I play in a few bands, and probably always will. For me, playing music is probably how some people feel about playing cards or watching sports. It's how I like to socialize.

I'm really interested in folk movements of music, and for me, those kinds of movements extend to punk and hip hop. I think Ledbelly, Kurt Cobain and Wu Tang have more commonalities than differences.

I grew up reading Kurt Vonnegut and I think he really informed how I look at the world. Lately I've been reading dark fiction, or childrens fiction. Cormac McCarthy's The Road and A.A. Milne's The House on Pooh Corner are both on my nightstand. It's kind of like jumping from the hot tub into the pool, I assume.

For shows, I like things with a long narrative. The X-files, The Killing, The Sopranos. Isolated individual narratives don't do much for me, with the exception of The Twilight Zone.
