My self-summary
"Welcome aboard, Mr. Pilgrim." said the loudspeaker. "Any questions?"
Billy licked his lips, thought a while, inquired at last: "Why me?"
"That is a very Earthling question to ask, Mr. Pilgrim. Why you? Why us for that matter? Why anything? Because this moment simply is. Have you ever seen bugs trapped in amber?"
"Yes." Billy, in fact, had a paperweight in his office which was a blob of polished amber with three ladybugs embedded in it.
"Well, here we are, Mr. Pilgrim, trapped in the amber of this moment. There is no why."

I think that most things in life boil down to subtext and maintenance.

I don't think you should take anything too seriously.
What I’m doing with my life
I work at a film production company, where I spend most of my time writing about other people's writing and whether or not it's any good at all. Most often, it's not.
My goal is that, one day, someone will pay me to write things that other people will then write about and tell their bosses if it's any good at all. Hopefully it will be.

As for the things I spend the rest of my time doing; that would be great sport for conversation and I don't want to smother that too early. Don't be hasty, Master Hobbit.
I’m really good at
Rock-paper-scissors and talking in weird accents.

Choosing the most opportune moments to quote either Nacho Libre or Lord of the Rings.

Most of the people I know don't seem to appreciate these highly specialized faculties, for whatever reason.

I am not good at growing a beard, though I often try. All attempts have ended in failure. It's a huge disappointment.
The first things people usually notice about me
I think that depends on who is noticing. But probably that I'm tall, sometimes silly, and I tend to bump into things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
These lists are by no means exhaustive. But somehow and for some reason, taste seems to broadly define personality. So, you know, whatevs.

The six things I could never do without
Musical instruments
Craft beer
A sense of humor
Nature
Books
Light
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to minimize the bullshit, spirituality and self, light in extension, other people, what I'm going to eat later, how I come off to other people, how to live in a moment, what I'm doing with my time, where I want to be, what I want to buy, what is really my favorite color, how to make sarcasm more apparent through the written word, and stupid things like "why the fuck are there mosquitos," or "how weird is it that people put food into their mouths and it comes out later as poop, and we actually call that process 'eating?'"
On a typical Friday night I am
Jus chillin' wit my homies, John Jameson and Franziskaner. Sometimes Delirium Tremens tags along as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Everything is connected, everything is sacred.
