I can be a little indulgent at times (spontaneous road trips come to mind), but I keep my perspective. After all, you have to make a good living and care for the people you love. To me, that's the measure of a man.
I have traveled and lived abroad extensively. I'm educated and love to learn new things. Life would be a bore if you weren't surprised by something or someone new every day.
Finding humor in most things is very important to me. I like a woman who isn't afraid to show her goofy side. I promise i'll laugh at all your stupid jokes.
I can't stand to stay in the house when the sun is shining but i'll take care of what needs taking care of before heading out.
The Fall is my favorite season. The bright reds, yellows, oranges and purples of this part of the country still leave me in awe. I have good memories of my kids and dog playing in piles of leaves, my dog's tail cutting through them like a shark through water....my kids laughing and trying to catch her.
I'm into fitness and I hit the gym regularly with my buddies and I enjoy working out. I get into the power of transformation that you can create with discipline and hard work. I eat healthy food and live an active healthy lifestyle. I've always looked younger than my age. It used to be bother me earlier in my career but now it's a blessing.
I've been separated for over two and a half years and I'm a very involved dad. My ex and I are on good terms. It's just that we realized that roommates do not make a marriage. We're waiting for the kids (13 and 14) to go to college or well through high school before we make our final split. If that's a deal breaker for you I understand. I'm not trying to fool anyone and believe me when I say there's plenty of people in the same boat.
I'm not looking to jump into a serious relationship but I'm experienced enough in life to know that Love is not always predictable. However, my priority are my kids. If you are a mom you'll understand. There is no greater gift than unconditional love.
All kids are awesome though and sometimes I think I should have been a teacher. On nights and weekends I coach soccer and my car is often filled with boisterous 13 and 14 year olds who I am also always feeding. It's unreal how much teenage boys can eat.
I'm where I want to be career wise. I've grown into a leadership role that I didn't know I could a few years ago and I'm loving it. It's funny how you can surprise yourself.
