My Self-Summary
lets see...i live for riding my bike, camping, playing with my dog,
random sing-a-longs with friends... I need to know what is going on
in the world and love having people to talk to about it. I can be
adventurous and love exploring new places, especially by bike. I
love being outside and active but some nights I'd rather stay in
with a good book or movie. I love used book stores, coffee shops,
vegetarian restaurants and community gardens. I'm maybe a little
too sarcastic. Lately, I like to practice doing handstands and
juggling.
What I’m doing with my life
I am in grad school studying Political Science and working at an
after-school program in the city.
I’m really good at
active listening, losing my train of thought, spontaneous trips,
making do with what's available, changing my mind, riding my bike
in traffic, camping related things, board games, saying the wrong
thing, getting distracted, switching back and forth between silly
and serious when necessary, being resourceful.
i'm also really good at remembering to pick up my csa share but terrible at remembering to do my co-op shift.
i have a terrible sense of direction but i'm great at reading a map and knowing when to just ask for directions

Margaret Atwood, Bell Hooks, Dorothy Allison, James Baldwin, Jhumpa
Lahiri, Alice Walker...too many authors to name. My favorite movie
that I've seen recently is Ma Vie en Rose. I tend to listen to a
lot of female singer-songwriters but like a lot of different kinds
of music.
The six things I could never do without
my dog, old friends, NPR, books, coffee, community
I spend a lot of time thinking about
currently i spend a lot of time thinking about the work i'm doing
in grad school but also....self-sufficiency, where my food comes
from, weird power dynamics, coffee, people i don't know, people i
do know, traveling, riding my bike, what my dog is thinking about
when he looks at me that way
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
i'm a really terrible singer but it doesn't stop me from doing
it...often.
