My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a public servant, postgrad student and legal eagle. I enjoy trying new restaurants, lurking in cafes with my laptop, cabaret dancing, performing standup comedy and pretending to know things about wine. Sometimes I bake things and bring them in to work to share (not very often because I'm kind of lazy).

I'm a bit of a retronaut. I love dressing up in 1950s-style clothing and watching classic films. However, there are some things I wouldn't revive from the past, such as these disturbing recipes for savoury jelly salads and creative uses of 7-Up (http://www.lileks.com/institute/gallery/). Don't look at these if you're eating.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Like many in this fair town, I shuffle paper for the Central Bureaucracy. I'm also chipping away at a part-time PhD.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
finding excuses for not working on my PhD. These include long walks on the beach, fine wines and the films of Billy Wilder.

Movies: I love classic movies, especially screwball comedy. My favourite is 'Some Like it Hot'.

Book: 'Cold Comfort Farm' by Stella Gibbons. Read it if you've ever thought the characters in 'Wuthering Heights' should take a chill pill.

Shows: Black Books, Futurama, Miranda, Harvey Birdman Attorney-At Law, Peep Show, That Mitchell & Webb Look, Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe.
The six things I could never do without
