I'm an adult bookworm who likes good books and good coffee.
What I’m doing with my life
I write and read a lot (both inside and out of work.) I was a history major in college and am still drawn to good stories and projects that require lots and lots of research.
I’m really good at
trivia games, Jeopardy and correctly identifying one-hit wonders.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have really long eyelashes and a distinct voice. I'm also an introvert with an excellent memory. People also notice that I'm good at pop culture and trivia related things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The best books I've read recently were "Quiet" by Susan Cain, "Mrs. Hemingway" (I'll read anything about the Lost Generation of the 1920s) and
Movies: I go to the movies a lot and wanted to be one of those people who watches all of the Best Picture nominees, but then I quickly realized that I have no interested in watching Leo get mauled by a bear.
Shows: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Daily Show and Sherlock. (I also often had Law and Order on in the background back when I worked from home.)
I've also steadfastly stuck with Downton Abbey all these years.
The six things I could never do without
(not including friends and family): Books, pens, NYtimes.com, grapes, notebooks, coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I've been listening to lots of podcasts about productivity and digital clutter. During the recent snow storm, I finally managed to get to inbox zero on my Gmail account and honestly feel a lot better.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with friends, or alternatively, watching TV after a long week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've seen every episode of Saved By The Bell (including the
episodes from the Good Morning, Miss Bliss era).
You should message me if
I like to think I'm fun and interesting. If you agree, let me know.
