My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born and raised in Ontario and moved to Vancouver a year ago for a job.
I have no intention of leaving the ocean.

I'm a canoe tripper, skier, sailor (sort of), bike rider, sunshine sitter, beer drinker, pretend guitar player, mostly vegetarian, music loving, lady.

I work in health care, sometimes I go to work in the middle of the night, sometimes I don't come home from work for more than 24 hours.

I think that I'm somewhat of an introvert, although if you ask people who know me they won't describe me that way.

I grew up in a family that traveled lots, and it's my plan to keep traveling. It would be cool if you valued that as well :)
I think it's fair to say that if traveling isn't something you love to do and plan to do, we might not be right for each other.

I'm super close to my family and talk to them all the time. It's ok if you're not, but it's not ok if you think it's weird that I am.

I'm an early to bed early to rise kinda gal. Sometimes I have to stay up all night for my job, and if you're with the right people, or person it can be awfully fun, but in general I wouldn't call myself a night owl.

I smile really big in pictures, I love my friends, swimming fixes everything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in health care. I can't imagine doing a job that I love more. I'm busy figuring out how to live my life with balance.

I'm growing the best patio garden I've ever had and fretting over my indoor plants and whether or not they are happy enough with the sunlight they are getting. Sometimes I mutter nice things to them as I walk by.

Planning trips and adventures. I want to paddle, bike, sail, and spend night after night in my tent.
Popping popcorn in a pot.
Saving pennies to travel anywhere and everywhere.
Trying to enjoy EVERY minute of the sun.

I like to cook, maybe you do to? Maybe we can get too excited at the farmers market together and have loads of veggies to eat all week. I always get too excited.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Hugging. For real. In a nice way, not a creepy way.
Making lists. On my phone, on post its, on the back of an important piece of paper. I don't know where it is now, but I know I wrote it down somewhere.
Eating ice cream.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like to think that it's my handshake, it's pretty darn good. A surprising number of people I meet these days don't have a great hand shake....what's up with that?
I don't know, people notice what they want to notice don't they?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
The lumineers, Of monsters and Men, Bach, Matt Andersen, Stuart McLean, most things CBC, Vivaldi, Musicals, My Fair Lady, quirks and quarks, The Duhks, Whitehorse, Justin Rutledge, Po girl.....

I'm not good at popular culture, if you talk about famous people I probably won't know who they are. If you talk about hip new music I probably won't be up on that either.
I watch movies when I don't want to think about anything.

I read books. We can talk about them when I make my way through them. I'm easily distracted and have the most success getting through my stack of fiction when there's no computer around to distract me. I try to read research too, sometimes.

I don't like this section......
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Water to swim in, lake or ocean, with trees close by
My fam
The sun
My bike(s)
Tunes or a tent or tomatoes, they all start with T's, that counts as 1
My passport
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Going on bike trips and canoe trips, my sister and when we can visit next, work and what I forgot to do today, how to avoid driving my car, getting a tattoo. How to eat my produce faster so I can get more at the market, how to be a better guitar player, how be better at keeping in touch with friends far and wide, how to be more creative, what to eat for dinner, what the perfect mix of city and country living might be, building things, how doing stuff on my own is cool because I can go where I want when I want...but that having a partner in crime might be rather nice these days. Have I eaten too much ice cream today?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working, sleeping, at the beach, watching a movie, on the ferry, drinking beer or a G and T. Playing board games, dinner partying. It's hard to say, in bed early so I can get up early the next day. Although I love routine, my life doesn't actually allow for much of that, It's growing on me :)

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think eating oatmeal for breakfast out of the pot, cooked on a camping stove outside (with or without peanut butter) is awesome.
You want to go swimming in the ocean
You're passionate about something and you're doing something about it. You're employed and you're happy about it.
You can convince me that getting a tattoo doesn't really hurt that badly.
You're handsome, or cute, or something like that and you want to meet for real.
