At the height of my powers. I'm a songwriter with past lives (in
this body) as lawyer, news reporter, and entrepreneur. Starting new
career in Nashville and seeking the committed complementarity my
parents had: They were polar political opposites who loved each
other for a lifetime. Core addictions: gratitude, contribution,,and
learning, the last of which you'll likely need to share
What I’m doing with my life
serving others, not only as a friend and musician, but wherever I
see opportunity; expressing gratitude and learning new stuff daily;
striving to have the world be a little better today for my having
I’m really good at
listening, synthesizing, problem-solving, massage and other mutual
activities I don't write about to strangers; taking my promises
seriously & not taking myself so; adult compassion; enjoying
the moment...oh, have I mentioned modesty yet?
The first things people usually notice about me
(haven't asked them...and I have no idea of what YOU notice first)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Bible; THE CONSERVATIVE HEART; THE MAGIC MOUNTAIN; SECRETS OF THE MILLIONAIRE MIND; MAKERS VS TAKERS; WRITING MUSIC FOR HIT SONGS; "Unforgiven"; "Some Like it Hot"; "A Perfect World"; "Schindler's List"; "Casablanca"; "Hard Candy"; GLEE; BREAKING BAD; DEXTER; (music too long a list, food ditto)
The six things I could never do without
My guitar;my piano keyboard;my co-writers; my 30-year-friendships;
my network of personal mentors....& I PREFER to never do
without REASON magazine or Black-raspberry-dark-chocolate-chunk ice
I spend a lot of time thinking about
(lately have been more focused on doing than thinking-about...and
who's to say what "a lot of time" is?
On a typical Friday night I am
open to possibility.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've gotten penalized for answering this question before
establishing a foundation of trust and shared values.
You should message me if
you like yourself, you like men, and you have a happy life with an
interest in sharing it long-term.
