Kudos to OKCupid!
It's been a little more than two months since I joined OKC. So far
it's been fun and insightful. I've met a few interesting people and
viewed the profiles of many more. I've learned, not just about
online dating but about myself.
Many things about the subtle workings of OKC remain a mystery, like how many of the ratings are determined. But one of the lessons is to not take it all too seriously and just go with the flow.

To Spandau_Ballet: I'm guessing that you're more curious about the
subtle working of OKC more than you might be about what I've
learned about myself! Well, I must confess that I know more about
the later than the former. I've learned that I should be more
lighthearted about all of this and that, when I decide I'd like to
send a message, I should invest less time and effort in the writing
and be open to a variety of responses (including no response). I've
also think I need to find some happy smiley photos of myself. I
beleive they are intentionally mysterious. A self-proclaimed nerd
like yourself has probably figured out as much or more that I. Good
luck in your search.
