disclaimer: this is all going to be updated. i'm just throwing up some information.

i was born in kuwait, lived in abu dhabi, but have lived most of my life in new jersey, have forgotten how to speak arabic. my family is caucasian, but i feel a huge tie to middle eastern culture and sympathize with palestine.

i drive a manual vr6 gti. i love volkswagens, i love driving, i love country roads!

i love dogs, would consider myself a dog person.

love awkward situations and the charmingly mundane moments in life. i am grotesquely fascinated with pop culture.

i think i have a really serious, passionate/dark side and a really gross, uncensored goofy side, which creates a kind of self-defeating dialectic of personality that i'm sure many other people struggle with as well.

uhh, this will be jazzed up sometime to make me look a little bit more sane.

graduated from pratt institute with a BFA in illustration, moved out of my cozy little apartment in bed stuy, brooklyn back to ewing new jersey. i live at home (free rent!) and spend most of my time working, hanging out with friends, reading, cooking, eating, drinking my parent's wine, and doing art work. living low budget to save up money for traveling and eventually moving out.

sleeping in. drawing, painting, and playing with dogs. finding bizarre things from garage sales/flea markets/goodwill. cleaning (but i am certainly not a neat freak). cooking. flossing! cuddling. buying and wrapping awesome gifts for my friends.

i have ten arms.

honestly though, i don't know. sometimes its "you look just like my cousin!" or "you look like the girl from spider man". ay yi yi.

books:
big fan of short stories, but my favorite book of all time is anna karenina, all of tolstoy's short stories, nabokov (short stories, didn't like lolita!). john updike, chuck klosterman, amy tan, dave eggers. michael pollan!

movies:
boogie nights, fargo, the big lebowski, there will be blood, the battle of algiers, anything by sembene ousmane.

food:
OOHHHH FOOOOOD. ideally anything sans chemicals, preservatives, msg, etc...various cheeses (i will try and usually enjoy almost any type of cheese), indian, spanish, italian, middle eastern, PIZZA!, vegetables, GARLIC, vegetarian sushi. i love cooking, i love learning how to make new types of food. i love food.

music:
devendra banhart, air, the pixies, beck, hella, marnie stern, grizzly bear, atlas sounds, deer hunter, sonic youth, neu!, hrsta, ariel pink, the breeders, crsytal stilts, blonde redhead, foals, animal collective, diplo, electrelane, beach boys, panda bear, caribou, no age, prefuse 73, bon iver, vivan girls, bibio, flying lotus, dan deacon, giraffes? giraffes!, radiohead, wilco, black tambourine, a tribe called quest, de la soul, fleet foxes, wild beasts, the octopus project, and so on and so on.

but i also enjoy music out of brazil, africa, and india. always looking to learn about/steal new music.

some type of animal companion, my car, burts bees chapstick, coffee, and beer.

i have a large birthmark on my stomach. i pick my nose. i am not good at falling asleep. they are 00g plugs, i wash the holes in my lobes frequently but they probably still smell weird.

if you don't wear ed hardy, appreciate good beer but have no qualms with 40's of malt liquor. you scoff at PDA's but mostly out of jealousy.

you enjoy basil (i work at a grocery store and this guy said "i'm not a basil person" and my mind exploded). i might want to meet you if you don't like basil, though. just for an interview.
