My self-summary
I believe that the best relationships grow slowly and incrementally like a tree. It can take years for a tree to grow tall and mature and it never ever ever happens over night. In the same way I think it takes time to really know someone, build a friendship and to earn a high level of trust. I don’t want to force anything. I prefer for things to progress naturally.
What I’m doing with my life
I just moved back to Chattanooga from South Korea after teaching English there for two years.
I’m really good at
Cooking without following a recipe. Recipes are more of a guideline.

Taking photographs. Film > Digital

I’m good with details and have great organizational skills. You should see my sock drawer, but honestly I’ve learned to care less about orderliness and thoroughly enjoy entertaining my disorderly side.
The first things people usually notice about me
I once had a musician tell me I have a radio voice. He said my voice was soothing and calm. His remark made me feel really good.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A few years back I bought The Cuddle Sutra, I’d really like to try all the positions out with someone I like, who likes snuggling too, maybe you if you’re lucky.

At the moment I’m reading The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. So far I’m into the main character, Roark. I think I like his character so much because I generally like people who aren’t swayed by the crowd and follow their own spirits.

Movies like Dirty Harry, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly I think are pretty great! I like many Coen brother films as well. In particularly Fargo, The Big Lebowski, The Man Who Wasn’t There and No Country for Old Men. Thumbs up to directors like Darren Aronosfsky, Wes Anderson, Miranda July and Michel Gondry. Also a favored romantic film of mine is When Harry Met Sally, it's a terribly sweet movie.

For me Twin Peaks is probably the ultimate television show. Second are comedies like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Angry Boys, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Louie, and That 70’s Show.

My music days of young were a bit of a horror. Unfortunately for me my mom was part of the religious crowd that burnt all their records. Note: My moms cool and I love her despite her record destroying days, however I grew up thinking Madonna was eeevvviiilll, haha... for pete sake I was listening to Jars of Clay and WOW compilation albums featuring contemporary Christian music at the age of fourteen. It wasn’t until College that I discovered the music that I now love. Stuff like David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Led Zepplin, Pixies, James Brown...

Also significant artists to me are The shins, Blonde Redhead, Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Girls, Weezer, Bjork, M.I.A, The Killers, Elliot Smith, Grizzly Bear a time ago I couldn’t get enough of Crystal Castles, Tegan & Sara, Bone Thugs N Harmony(my most favored rappers), the more obscure like Prophets & Kings and Luna Is Honey, Future Island, and the list wouldn’t be complete without D’Angelo’s Brown Sugar.

I like home cooked, tasty and healthy food. Stuff like curry, hummus, falafel, fresh fruits, veggies and so forth. I usually stock my kitchen cupboards with things like quinoa, raw cacao powder, almonds, tahini and flaxseed oil.
The six things I could never do without
beauty/aesthetics
good feelings
warmth
genuine people
fresh fruit
Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soap
I spend a lot of time thinking about
A few months back I read a short story by Leo Tolstoy titled The Three Questions. I love this part...

“Remember then: there is only one time that is important – Now! It is the most important time because it is the only time when we have any power. The most necessary man is he with whom you are, for no man knows whether he will ever have dealings with any one else: and the most important affair is, to do him good, because for that purpose alone was man sent into this life!”

So much good in these words and this story.
On a typical Friday night I am
If you’re thinking of when I was nine, my mom probably had me in bed by 8pm. Typical mom.

But this last Friday night my friends and I had this great idea to hike up a hill around the corner from my apartment. Mind you it’s the middle of the summer. We were sweating balls when we got to the top. At least we had some beers to cool us down and a good view.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once peed next to a homeless guy underneath a bridge. He told me “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before, go ahead.” So I quietly went about my business, I couldn’t hold it and he didn’t seem to mind and I can't say I did either.
